And if so what percentage of the bill do you usually tip?
I know some of them have tip jars |
Fuck no. Never seen too hard before either. Wouldn't do they anyway.
WAIT WHAT? Tipping needs to go away completely even at restaurants.
sometimes the tip, sometimes the whole thing....depends on how cute she is!
Some of you must have so much money you just fucking throw it away?
LOL no. If I go in, hand them my grocery list and then wait in the coffee shop while they do my shopping, check it out, bag it and bring it to me, then maybe. Until then, no.

I've seen grocery stores where they will have people who walk your cart out for you and load your car, should you want them to.
Those folks would get a few bucks tip if I were ever to use their service (I don't), otherwise, hell no. |
Yes. I shop at the commissary on base and the baggers work for tips only. Guess I'm in the minority in this thread.
ETA they also take it out to your vehicle and load it too after they bag it. |

One of my first jobs was a sack boy in a grocery store. We sacked the groceries and pushed the cart out and loaded the customers car. The customers would tip most of the time. Never heard of tipping the cashier though.

Do your checkers provide a service other than taking money and ringing up your groceries? Because the bare minimum is hardly tip worthy.

I have a condo on an island, Roatan Honduras. At the grocery store in Coxen hole, the kids work for free.
There must be 10+ in uniform. I'm guessing they are 12 or 13 years old. The grocery store pays them nothing and they haul groceries to the parking lot for 5 Lempiras or 25 cents. I tip these kids and that's it. Other than that, what a stupid fucking question/troll. |

obviously 15%.
How much do you guys tip your urologists? Even 10% seems a bit much for what they charge. |
I usually just tuck a couple of singles in the pocket of her smock.
Nope . . .
. . . especially not the one that just stands there watching as you fumble with bagging your own shit in the self-checkout line. |

At the commissary yes, that is how they make their money. Normal store, not since they raised minimum wage
