Link Posted: 1/12/2006 8:39:15 PM EST
I'm more interested in the commercials.

Of course last year I had the stomach flu and was more interested in making it to the toilet before throwing up.

a, b and c

Link Posted: 1/12/2006 8:39:51 PM EST
I dont care
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 8:40:59 PM EST
I dvr it, but skip through the game. The commercials are the only thing worth watching.

I lost intrest after what happened in Houston, I was happy my city got it and the trash ruined it
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 8:42:43 PM EST
i only care if the teams i have in the football poll are in it.

i drew washington and carolina.so hopefully one of them are in it!

Time watching TV is "wasted."

Time on ARFCOM is merely "spent."
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 8:43:33 PM EST

The what bowl?

I thought the bowl games were over, and Texas won?

The first part is why I asked - I had no idea when the super bowl is supposed to be held this year.

But every year they hype the hell out of it on TV.

By the looks of the poll, most people here don't give a rat's ass about it.
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 8:53:13 PM EST
Noop! Don't care whatsoever!
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 8:55:57 PM EST
I don't care who wins. I only care to watch if the two teams are both good.

Link Posted: 1/12/2006 8:57:36 PM EST
I would rather watch paint dry!
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 9:02:26 PM EST
I would watch if they cut out a few things, like the half-time show, the 2 hr pre-game and post-game shows, and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters should be eliminated too. Basically, boil that sucker down to showin me some cheerleaders and funny comercials, wrap it up in 30 minutes, and I'm there.

Oh, I guess you could have somebody kick the ball, but just once. That's always the boring part that makes me glad I'm not a fan.
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 9:05:12 PM EST
i only watch it for the NIP SLIPs
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 9:06:19 PM EST
I "watch" it every year if watching means: hanging out with my buddies and drinking a lot of beer while the game is on in the background.
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 9:07:59 PM EST
What is this "super bowl" you speak of?
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 9:22:08 PM EST
Yes, especialy if the Redskins make it there.
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 9:23:06 PM EST
My tv is dedicated to my PS2. It's not allowed to really have anything else on it.
It'll explode if I turn it to anything like football. No joke!

Link Posted: 1/12/2006 9:27:18 PM EST
I forced myself to watch it last year....I did not get the point.
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 9:28:22 PM EST
Nope. I have no clue who's playing and hope to keep it that way..
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 9:28:22 PM EST
What a bunch of sissies in here

No interest what so ever

I prefer my cereal bowl, which also doubles as my soup bowl and occasionally an ice cream dish.
Link Posted: 1/13/2006 1:08:12 AM EST
Go Pats!!!
Link Posted: 1/13/2006 1:21:13 AM EST
Not really but if the Bears were in it, I'd watch it.
Link Posted: 1/13/2006 1:26:42 AM EST
When I was about ten.

Seeing as how it's in Detroit this year, and the Lions have not a chance in hell if even being invited to watch...much less play in it.... I am dreading the day.

I just hope that night when I am working I am not working Detroit, but only the suburbs...I imagine traffic and everything else will be screwy and I don't want to deal with driving around drunk/stupid people that night.

Hell, I almost got hit on New Year's morning driving around eastside/downtown Detroit. and saw a head on collision.

Care is a strong word....I typically watch the game each year...I enjoy football as a sport, but I would rather play it than watch it any day. I have played on and off for years in groups of guys on Sundays because I do truly love the game itself...but I really couldnt care what happens in the pro's. I root for a team, have season tickets, tailgate at every home game...but its just something I do. If it all went away tomorrow I'm fine with that....there are more important things in life.

I like college football better. At the collegiate level, it's still about the game and the players aren't multi-millionaire prima donnas.
Link Posted: 1/13/2006 1:53:30 AM EST
id rather watch flies f#ck

Link Posted: 1/13/2006 1:53:34 AM EST
It's simply un-American (and unmanly) to dislike "American" football (soccer is gay).

I guess i'm not an American male since I don't follow an overly commercialized sport full of thugs and druggies.

Of course you're an American. "Professional"(and I use the term rather loosely) football is full of thugs, drug fiends, rapists, etc. They're overpaid prima donnas.

As stated before, I mentioned that I preferred college football since for the most part it's still about the game and for the most part their players are professional, save for a few bad apples but every sport has its good and bad players.

<----------------obviously, my enthusiasm has fallen off since last week.

But, I'll watch it and the playoffs leading up to it. I enjoy NFL games, but will NOT watch MLB, NBA, NHL games.

F- baseball and baseball players
F- NBA, and everyone associated with it
and just don't like watching hockey
Link Posted: 1/13/2006 2:17:11 AM EST
No interest what-so-ever.
Why people even like football is beyond me.

Hockey on the other hand....
Link Posted: 1/13/2006 2:24:00 AM EST
Hell I couldn't tell you who are in the play offs. I lost intrest in the NFL a long time ago.
