My wife and I do not buy gifts for each other for Christmas, or at least in surprising way.  We will mention to each other, "I could USE this or I can USE that" and we agree that we can buy it and say, "I bought this for him" or "I bought this for her" to family and friends.  Of course, we knew we were getting it.

Most of the gifts she knows about. I throw a couple surprises in there though. It's fun watching her and the kids open presents.

My wife and I don't really buy gifts for each other.  Instead, we focus on enjoying finding a good tree, decorating it, baking and cooking together during the holidays, etc.

Yes, we spend money on making our children have the most first but do you use the holiday season as a way to justify purchases.

We buy each other things we need.  She needed a new bike, and I needed a case for my new quadcopter.

We took a bike ride together this AM, and will be flying the Phantom later this afternoon.  (Yes I know both are early, but we're fine with that and that is all that matters…)

For the past several years we have not really bought each other anything.

This year I bought her a book of Longfellow poetry published in 1900, less than $20 but she will like it.

We still buy gifts, but most of the time we pic them out

Last year she got a new car, and I got a laptop and got to go to

Afghanistan one more time.

This year she wants a trip to FL to see our son

She normally buy’s me shit I don’t want or need if I don’t intervene. Garbage from what ever store she’s at. Every couple of years I go ape shit and buy myself stuff. A couple of years back it was a Dillon 1050. This year it was a SKD PIG carrier.

I ask her what she wants and to provide a list with links to my email. She gets what she wants.

We usually don't buy anything for each other. It bothers her, though. I'm the Scrooge. Humbug!

We don't have kids so we usually just buy stuff for other family members and enjoy the holidays.  She buys her stuff and I buy mine.

I tell my wife how much she can spend, she picks out something a hundred dollars more.
I never complain she is a good wife and never complains about all the gun stuff I purchase through out the year.

I don't like my room mate, (wife) she lost interest in  sex, so I don't give presents. We are even.

Ya, ya, eject, I hate lawyers and apartments worse than her. No thanks.

I take notes on off handed comments she makes to purchase things she will enjoy or enhance her quality of life. In September, we were talking about carry guns, and she was talking about how she liked my S&W BG380 plenty fine but wanted something with a little more punch that she could concealed carry. We had taken her mom to the range out scout out carry guns a year ago and they both loved the LC9, so I got her the LC9 w/Veridian green laser, and a Desantis IWB holster for that particular combo. She will be plenty surprised as I told her I was going to get her a big screen TV for the bedroom so she could use it for workouts (I got that too )

That sounds so nice DK-Prof

I buy my husband a gift and try to keep it a surprise and he always surprises me, his gifts are usually quite clever.  He asks me what I want or need, the only thing I ever have asked for is jumper cables for my car and a first aid kit for my car.  I finally bought my own

I'm getting my husband's stripes for his camaro this year.  I haven't decided which to get yet, so it's a little nerve wrecking.

I buy gifts and cards all year long when they are not expected. I really love her and spoil her a bit. Been a lot of home repairs lately so she is getting a remote start for her car so she doesn't have to get in a cold car, she knows. I would like to surprise her with something. I don't want anything, I usually get what I want and the other things we cant afford.

I do not participate in the forced commercialization season.

I do not give gifts and do not receive gifts from anyone around Christmas.

I give gifts when I want to, but refuse to on any "holiday" not Valentines day, not mothers day, not even on birthdays.

I am not an atheist , or Jehovah's witness I just don't play the guilt gift game.
