I bought a pair of stag grips this weekend and put them on my Kimber. I'm getting mixed review so I thought I would put it to a poll here.

Can you whistle "Happy Trails"?   :D

Seriously, the grips are not as bad as one would imagine without seeing the photo.  In the late 50s and early 60s stag was THE handgun grip.  What goes around, comes around.

I'm not a big fan of them, and wouldn't have put 'em on mine, but then again, you're not me, that ain't mine, and its a free country, so I say if you like 'em, that's ALL that matters. [:D]

No, I bought them at a gunshow Saturday. I was looking for another set of Hogue wrap-arounds but got those to set it apart from my other Kimber.

I told you they looked cool when you picked them up, John. I told you they looked good when you were waffling on buying them. I told you they had that "classic Colt Brushed Nickle look" to them when you put them on.

And now you start bitching about my helpful advice? Second guess my professional opinion? Act as though my input was worthless, when in the end, my feelings are the only ones that matter?

I'm hurt.

We're broke up, now.

Yup, I agree with gus. They would look much better on a blued or parkerized pistol.

I like it for one reason.  It's unique.  I get so tired of seeing the same old song and dance all the time.  However, a colored set of carbon fibers would look pretty damn cool on that Kimber.

I give'd ya my opinion in my driveway... and it still stands... just something wrong with it

Teri says the colors are too light, not enough contrast between the stainless and the white, but its your fucking pistol and if you like it who cares what other people think.

To each his own.  They don't really do anything for me, but I'm not everyone.  I like the Carbon Fiber grips on mine (sorry, it's not a Kimber, or shiny like yours), I think they make it look sharp.  What matters is what you think about them since it's your firearm.

I usually dont go for grips like that but for some reason that setup does appeal to me...

For stag grips they are pretty clean.  I think it goes well.

Now thats sexy![rolleyes]

This thread reminds me of a line in one of my favorite movies "Major League"

Ricky Vaughn: I look like a dork in these glasses.

Coach Brown: I think you look fine. Besides, seeing is the most important thing.

Willie Mays Hays: I don't think it's that important.
