Anyone can get a cat or a dog. I'm wondering if something further afield might make for an interesting house critter. Anyone ever have a pet porcine?

Serious replies only. NO bacon jokes.

Well we'd have to be talkin' about one charming motherfuckin' pig. I mean he'd have to be ten times more charmin' than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I'm sayin'?

I was living with my brother once. He brought home a pot belly pig that someone at work gave him. It was smart but it was also stubborn. If it didn't get what it wanted, it would throw a hissy fit! It fucked up the walls and the door to the bathroom. I gave it to a friend that has a dairy ranch. He fattened it up and slaughtered it. I was happy to hear it!

Get a gold fish.

What images does the word "pig" conjure in your mind? Do you want to keep one of these in your home?

"What about a dog?  Dog will eat his own shit."

"Yeah, but at least a dog as some personality.  A little personality will go a long way."

They're smart, but they smell like....well, pigs. My neighbors had a couple...ate the linoleum off the kitchen floor and stank the whole house up. They built a pen for em in the back yard and they froze to death. Pig Popsicles

pigs are actually very clean animals if given the chance, they make their beds and only defecate in one area

They are very smart, learn quick and "understand' humans  better than a dog IMO.

Just like other animals they have their downsides, size and special needs, BUT you can eat them if needed.

You can eat damn near any animal if needed.
