As the nation rebuilds the remnants of the government press the twin into service as a form of continuity to impress upon the public that the 2nd Amendment remains in place. Problem is all the CCWs and FFLs (such as nuclear codes) are locked down by a series of biometric identification methods.

Do you think identical twins should get a set of matching boomsticks between them?

was a head of state with a twin.  The head of state dies in an act of
war.  As the nation rebuilds the remnants of the government press the
twin into service as a form of continuity to impress upon the public
that the leadership remains in place.  Problem is all the state secrets
and higher level military authorizations (such as nuclear codes) are
locked down by a series of biometric identification methods.  Would a
twin have the same fingerprints, retina patterns, etc.  Could they step
in and pass the authentication procedures?





What other high tech identification methodologies are there in use?
Could an identical twin pass them?  Don't need to know how they work,
just an idea if a twin could pass biometirc verification or if there are
key differences that would preclude that.

Identical twins do NOT have identical fingerprints. I assume the same holds for retina prints, penises, etc. There are many traits that are not shared by genetics.

One wierd plot I thought of was this: There are many, many stories of ID twins who are somehow "linked" psychically. My ID twin cousins, for example, cite many examples of how they somehow reacted to the other's life: one's arm would be sore and discover the other had broken hers; one got a belly ache and discovered the other had JUST DISCOVERED she was pregnant.

How about twins who have an active ESP link, they can read each other's minds... and are doing so while one of them dies? How screwed up would that be?
