Was in the local supermarket the other day and the produce stocker kid put out some new peaches that he took right out of a new box. They were very cold and some actually seemed to be somewhat frozen.

I know that places use cold storage facilities over the winter months for stuff like apples, but should a summer fruit such as a peach come frozen?

Any produce workers here?

I used to be a supermarket flunky. It comes in chilled, not supposed to be frozen but some of it closer to the unit in transit or storage will get frozen sometimes.
