Binged all three last night, don’t hate it but with the exception of the end of episode three felt a little slow. Will continue to watch and I do like the feel of the show, it’s a story set in the Star Wars universe, not a re-hash of the existing stories.

So far it's fantastic. I'm a lifelong SW nerd, but I've grown up...at 46, I'm down for some brothels, cop killing, and sabotage. The art direction and set design were gorgeous, and Luna is killing it. My one tiny complaint is that I lost a lot of dialogue with the thick Scottish accents, but that added to the Space Troubles vibe, so whatever. 9/10 for me...easily the best Disney SW (liked Kenobi a lot except for Inquisitor Thunder Thighs, BoBF was nonsensical and boring).

People would have dropped off this and forgot about it had they not released 3 episodes initially but rather weekly. 1 is okay, 2 is pretty flat however 3 really picks up.

Absolute turd for 3 episodes so far. ZERO notion that this in any way pertains to Star Wars so far.

There is zero wokeness I've seen 3 episodes in.
I swore off Disney everything, but figured if they could make a Rogue One series that's awesome, I'd give it a shot. So far just pleased that it's not woke, but waiting for the disappointment. |

It’s not bad, better than Kenobi for sure albeit slow which isn’t a bad thing imo. Like breaking bad, if you lay out the characters and motivations in scenes slowly, the payoff is bigger in the end instead of just the character telling you their feeling or explaining something outright.
Audiences aren’t dumb, subtext and acting are important. |

I agree that it's a little slow, and I'm not really invested in many of the characters. I'm loving that theyre actually making a dark and gritty star wars though. More of this, less making the most fearsome bounty hunter in the galaxy a weakling

So far, I really like it.
I know that some people thought it was too heavy on character development and not enough on plot development for the first two episodes, but I like taking a micro level look at the people in Star Wars then hopefully expanding out it to get the larger Galaxy and plot context. I like that the Security Forces were actually somewhat competent. I'm hoping that the Empire will be portrayed as highly competent. Although I love "The Mandalorian" the one thing I think it does wrong is make the Empire look sort of idiotic and incompetent other than Moff Giddeon. I think the more competent and deadly the Empire is the more heroic the protagonists are for going up against them. You can't have a good protagonist without excellent antagonists. I'm a bit concerned about the pre-show interviews though where the actors made it sound like the show will be a negative commentary on the Trump administration or something, but then again I remember actors in the Hunger Games movies saying it was about the 1% when it was clearly more about the evils of a centralized government. |

I know both are the main points of the Star Wars entertainment universe, but force users are a microscopic slice of the hundreds of trillions of beings in the Galaxy. It's refreshing to go beyond the force for stories like this. |

I hadn't heard of this series before this morning.
Some of the posts intrigued me enough to break the promise to myself to never buy Disney+ again - and I'm actually glad I did. Episodes 1 and 2 built toward Episode 3 nicely (Ep 3 was terrific) and I'm looking forward to the rest with eager (and hopeful) anticipation. |

I've been a life-long SW fan, I was 11 when I saw the first movie in the theaters in 1977. The only SW movies I didn't see in the theater were Solo and the last one. Mando has been good, but Rogue 1 was by far the best Star Wars ANYTHING since Empire Strikes Back. Stupid woke assholes and commercialism by Lucas made for shitty sequels and prequels.
I watched the first episode Wed night, the second and third last night. It is good. Loads better than the Dragon thing has been so far, except for a couple of brief scenes across what, 5 or 6 episodes? The interaction between the seasoned "Inspector" for the Corpo-MallCops and his exuberant Junior is fantastic. When all the Paul Blarts get together in Ep. 3 it is so believable. |

As many have said, the first two episodes are a little slow, but it really picks up in episode 3. I really like Stellan Skarsgard, and I think he will carry it. No wokeness so far, that’s a plus. But I’m having a problem with the stuttering droid. He’s just as annoying as BB8.
I know I’m one of the outliers, but I’ve liked all the spin off shows, BOBF, Mando, AND Kenobi. |

When Andor starts we don’t know his backstory yet but he obviously has no love for the Empire. In the third episode, Skarsgard mentions that Cassian’s father was hung in the public square. So for sure he knew it was a kill or be killed situation in that alley with the security guards. Edit to add: by “father” I’m sure they meant adopted father. Probably the guy that finds him in the wrecked ship. We’ll probably see a flashback of the hanging in an upcoming episode. |

View Quote Rumor is that it was first abandoned during the Clone Wars by the Old Republic and then restarted during the early days of the Empire. The accident happened under the Empire. My guess is they were mining materials for Star Destroyers or some other large equipment. Again, the first part of my post is a rumor from Reddit so. And the other part is just my guess. Maybe we’ll find out later on in the show. |
