So Red Jacket had this guy come in and ask for a supressed shotgun and the kind of gun he was shooting was sweet, what kind of shotgun was this?

I wouldn't. I like  my guns loud, the louder  the better, I want to bust ear drums on the range . I put a AK74 brake on my SBR'd AKS-74U, it makes the gun even louder and the fire ball that comes from the sides and front is very impressive. I have take to put a 74 brake on my AR as well to make that puppy louder

Is $2500 really all that much for a converted saiga with a custom made integral suppressor?  Also wondering if that price included the price of the tax stamp.

Custom work costs money.

hehe just noticed the MAA has a "Sons of Guns" section on their website

No, stamp wouldn't be included.

That was my thought too.  In the show he tells the guy its $2500 and then he says we have an hours worth of paperwork to do. Correct me if I am wrong but usually NFA apps take months.

Yeah, I thought the hours worth of paper work statement was a bunch of crap.

Also, where can I get a M16 with a grenade launcher for $1,500.00

LOL, that must have been the fastest NFA branch form 3 for the MG and DD!

It was an AR15 with a 37mm launcher.  When he grabbed a flare, you could see it marked "37 mm".  So no NFA there

Call me a spoilsport but that thing...first of all $2500? If *I* am spending that much on a firearm,NFA or not,I want something that isn't a Bubbafied AK shotgun. It looks, how can I be generous about this, "dumb as balls". The device is as long as the gun which leads me to my final point that it can't possibly lead to good handling characteristics.

Sorry,it didn't even peg my childish "that would be kind of cool" meter.

Paperwork would be filling out the apps (the paperwork), not waiting for approvals to be returned. An hour of paperwork, and then months of waiting (not doing paperwork the whole time).

You missed the point. Red Jacket guy made it sound like $2500 and an hour of paperwork and the gun is yours, which is bull crap. Sure we all know it would take an hour to fill out the NFA forms and months to wait. My issues is with him making it sound like he was going to be able to take him home and start firing it.

I thought the same thing when I saw the final product.  It looks like it would tip you forward if you aren't careful.  The fact that he pulled off suppressing a shotgun is great, but the gun he delivered is just not practical, to me anyway.

IIRC, it ended up adding just a couple of inches to the overall length.  So that's not a big deal.

No mention was made of before and after weight.  Naturally it would be a bit heavier, but how much?

In the end, the guy spending the money was happy.  It's his business, his money, so good for him.

Nobody is making me buy one, so I don't have anything to complain about.
