Well, I'm not sure how many of you here are dirtbike guys, but I'm sure there are some.

I'm a big enthusiast of off-road motorcycles, and I've been riding for almost 15 years (since I was 5), and I had to give it up for a while due to a nasty crash in the late summer of '09. I'm healed up now though and next spring I'll be getting a new bike and getting back into it, but not at the level I was before. I need to take it easy and not kill myself so I plan on mainly doing desert and trail riding, but still go to the MX track a few times a month, but not be crazy.

Anywho, my rich-ass friend just got a 2011 KTM 450 SX-F, and a 2011 KTM 250 SX, and I got to break them in for him and ride them for their first 10 or so hours, and damn, that solidified my desire to get a KTM. Man are they amazing. Mighty powerful, but the power delivery is smooth at tits. Handling is probably the best I've ever seen and the suspension was great.

So anyway, who here rides off-road motorcycles? What kind of riding do you do? What kind of bikes do you have?

We mostly do trail riding, however the wife has really taken a liking to track riding, so we've been doing that more frequently.  The trail riding was at a place called Cherokee Park, which was 1200 acres, but is now closed; so we've moved onto Hidden Falls, which is 3600 acres.  We also ride at a track called Cross Creek; which has two huge tracks, and 4 or so smaller tracks.

Right now, in the garage, we have a 2003 Honda CR125r (big bore, so it's actually 134), a 2001 YZ250F, a 2000 YZ250 and a 2001 TTR125.
If you're thinking about getting a KTM, and depending on where you live, look into removing the emissions stuff on it; it really does make a huge difference.

Off roader here, from tight woods to open GNCC type. I only occasionally play on an MX track. Love my 09 KTM 250XC.

I love dirt bikes,  My first was an 83 Yamaha 175 that I bought without a carb,  Put on a carb and tuned it,  OH BOY!  that was a fun bike for a 15 year old kid.  I've had a few bikes since then.  My latest is an 83 Honda CR125R that I picked up with a scored cyl for a hundred bucks,  and rebuilt it for lass than 250.  Haven't ridden it any further than the driveway yet.....  Maybe next summer.  Maybe I'm getting too old because it is kind of a tinker toy for me now.  I have countless hours in scraping and polishing plastics on it.   (cheaper that buying new)
I don't have any current pics of it back together,  but....
