Okay here it is, I have 3 bottles of wine at home that I could bring, were having sea food and or some kind of meet dish such as veal. The 3 kinds of wines are as follows,
1 being Woodbridge Zinfandel, 2 Yellow Tail Merlot, and last but not least Louis Jadot 2002 by Beaujolais-Villages. All these wines are red. My date and I do not care for white wine even if were having sea food. So out of those 3 what bottle of wine do you think I should bring?

I'll be leaving my house in aprrox. 45 min.

Should I just go purchase a nice bottle of red?

Thanks,
Joe....

I'd go with the Merlot.

I'd go for the Merlot. But I'm not much of a wine person, but it seems the logical choice.

The Merlot is bad choice for anyting seafood.

I suggest getting something a bit more mild that will work for both dishes - get a Chianti.  Pay somewhere between $13-$15 a bottle and it'll be a great wine.

Unless you like a nice blanc, then I would go with Thunderbird.

 That's in Highschool!

Since you do not like white wine, I will go with Louis Jadot 2002 by Beaujolais-Villages. . But then why wouldn't you try a Puilly-Fuisse white, it may change your mind regarding white wine.

Generally boxed wines are very well regarded.

I am not familiar with the Louis Jadot, but I would dump the Woodbridge and Yellow Tail....Dont show with those.

Take a look at J. Lohr, Sterling Vintage and the Coppola merlot and cab.

I decided to go with the Merlot, it was a big hit. She really had a great time.

Thanks for the help.

Have you tried a Riesling?  They are still a white wine and are sweet, but have a different flavor than the typical white.  I cant remember the name, but there was a blue bottled Riesling I used to buy all the time that was tasty.

I like a nice merlot, mulled with a touch of cinnamon and rohypnol.

Sterling is usually the best bag for your buck across the spectrum out here - and this is in wine country.  Once I discovered it, I haven't tried any others .

For some reason, the yuppies around here love the imported stuff, though - go figure.

I think I know the one you are talking about - it's a German import, right?  I used to drink that when I lived in El Paso.  Schlinkhaus Auslesen, maybe?

If you like Riesling, see if you can find Fetzer Vineyard Riesling in your area.  Their vineyard is out here in Mendocino country - I'm not sure how wide their distribution is - but it's one of the few types of wines I buy out here that isn't from Sterling (costs a little more, though).  I always keep a bottle around because non-wine drinkers always love it as well.
