Before throwing some tuna steaks on the grill, I had a hankering for oysters. Half way through those, I remembered how much I love an oyster shooter preceding a nice seafood dinner.
Proper Oyster Shooter:
Start with one raw, fresh shucked oyster:
One tablespoon cocktail sauce. Have ready raw bar double shot glass and pepper vodka:
Add cocktail sauce and oyster to shot glass. Top off with pepper vodka:

Since this was a small taste of the main event to come, I thought it appropriate to include my smallest gun, an Astra Cub in .22 short. To shuck the oysters, nothing seemed more perfect than my inherited WWII vintage US Navy Mark 1 knife.
