Before throwing some tuna steaks on the grill, I had a hankering for oysters. Half way through those, I remembered how much I love an oyster shooter preceding a nice seafood dinner.

Proper Oyster Shooter:

Start with one raw, fresh shucked oyster:

One tablespoon cocktail sauce. Have ready raw bar double shot glass and pepper vodka:

Add cocktail sauce and oyster to shot glass. Top off with pepper vodka:

I submit my pre-dinner Appetizer Pic. Proper oyster shooter, with accoutrement:

Since this was a small taste of the main event to come, I thought it appropriate to include my smallest gun, an Astra Cub in .22 short. To shuck the oysters, nothing seemed more perfect than my inherited WWII vintage US Navy Mark 1 knife.

Bottoms up, gents!

I had oysters once and bit into a pearl. It cracked a chink of my tooth off and I needed a filling. I haven't had one since.
BUT..you get mad points for mixing in vodka. Also good points for the blade.
Nice presentation.

Never even had one, but if one was presented to me in such a way with the appropriate cutlery, I would down it.
That being said, it gets a 9/10 simply because I dont know how it tastes.
If it tastes good, then 10/10

Man, I can't handle oysters, but you get 10/10 for a kickass knife, a pretty gun, and for legit vodka.

A little class and extra vocab is the least of this place's worries.
