Called this fuel supplier next door and he said yea, I have new barrels for $75 each. I said cool, can you fill them also? He said sure, $5.10 for on road and $4.40 for dyed, limit you can legally haul is 2 at a time. Each 55 drum equates to about 2300 miles in my TDI Passat. Each house has a 1k propane tank and they have 7 houses. A very cold winter they will just about consume 1 tank per flock which is like 6-8 weeks. That is pretty rare tho. |

Curious to see how it will impact the rest of the country. Oil and gas is kind of dependent on regional situations. |

We were reviewing this on Friday (long haul transportation).
It will really flip all of the shipping markets when/if it hits. Right now, there are a tremendous amount of trucking outfits running at a loss and right on the brink of failure. There is a “perfect storm” scenario that could combine with this and really make things sporty. |

In my neck of the woods, they'll drop the delivery fee if you're buying some minimum, I can't recall if it's 100 or 200 gallons. But that's in a city where you're just one stop on their route that day, I reckon driving distances are farther in farm country. |

I filled up my truck and jerry cans yesterday (I don't go through enough diesel at the farm to warrent an above ground tank. 4.99 at Buckee's - fill up cost $304.50. New record for me. I already needed to do the trip, filling up at Buckee's saved about $20.

How reserve works. 3 days reserve, one day supply come in, one day supply goes out. You can only get away with 3 days shortfall between new supply and outflows. With a lot of luck and everything working out there could never be a problem. You could also end up with shutting down all shipping in New England in 2 weeks. Dumb game to play
