Wow, what a cheesy movie. I hadn't seen it in a while, I had forgotten how lame it was.

"Do you know what a Glock 7 is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany capable of passing through your metal detectors, and costs more than you make in a month"

Die Hard 2 is pretty bad, but it's even worse on TV.

"Tell me, Carmine; what sets off the metal detectors first, the lead in your hat or the stuff in your brains?"

Agreed. That line is so bad I was embarassed for the producers.

It is funny how you can watch something and think it is so cool and then you see it 10-20 years later and it is so corny. This is especially true with horror movies. I watched aliens the other day and laughed at how fake the aliens walked. In the 80s that movie was the shit.

Did you mean Alien because aliens had gymnasts to improve the motion

No it was the second one. At the end when the big mother one is running around I thought it looked pretty corny. I remember it being exciting back in the day but I guess I am used to those new computer generated stunts now.

the queen! yes it is pretty cheesy but those powerloader miniatures are still damn cool

Hey now, be nice to Aliens. Its one of the best horror movies ever.
Link Posted: 10/3/2005 11:09:11 PM EDT
aliens is still a classic, as sci fi or a scary movie.

die hard 2, rhetorical portrayal of special ops soliders. And as for tactics... was it a comedy?

the worst line in my opinion was "grenada, 5 minutes of firefight, 5 weeks of surfing."

2nd aliens, she should have just shot the queen before all those eggs.

"game over man, game over...."

That was a full size puppet(the Queen). I think it looks good even by todays standards. The smaller aliens moved really good. Remember them jumping all over up and down the wall at the end when Riply was killing the eggs in the Queens chamber?

We watched it at work a couple of weeks ago and that was the feeling we all had. It is a good movie but it is just weird to look back on it now and compare it to movies today. Of course most movies today have great special effects...........and shitty plots.

While it will be hard to argue against the d day beach landing in private ryan as 1 of the best combat scenes, 1 of the coolest firefights to me is the short battle in forest gump.

stand by me is on amc, that's a good 1.

You know all of the movies that I once thought was cool now are either boring or I can't seem to get into them as easy as I used to. I think that the newer special effects are one reason why.

Just watched it the other day, enjoyed the shooting scenes, and nothing else in the whole damn movie

I liked it when they had to replace a bunch of Willis' dialog.
They used somebody who's voice didn't even sound like Willis.

I didn't know they had all of those leaky steam pipes in the baggage handling area?
'sup wi dat?
