Esquire (British English: /?'skwa??/;[1] American English: /'?s?kwa?r/, /?'skwa?r/ or /?'skwa?r/;[2] abbreviated Esq.)[3] is a courtesy title used in the United States largely for lawyers ... In the United States, the nominal suffix "Esquire" or "Esq." can designate individuals licensed to practice law.[4] The suffix is occasionally used in Canada, notably in the decisions of courts in some provinces.[5] View Quote |

Do you know the difference between lawyer and an attorney?
A lawyer is someone who has studied the law and an attorney is someone who is licensed to practice law. However, in the United States both are used interchangeably. #93 |
