Off the top of my head a RA Officer can serve until the age of 65, longer with congressional invitation. An Enlistedman can serve for up to 30 years longer with congressional invitation. Of course a RA officers commision is active until the age of 65 anyway, once they leave service or retire they are in teh IRR until thier 65th birthday. I have no idea why I am aware of this stuff I just am, I guess one to many soldier of the month boards. Why oh why did I waste all that time studying for those things? My Sgts promised me I would get promoted quicker, and that I would get cool schools if I won them, I got promoted to SPC4 the exact same day as the rest of th turds that I went to AIT with, and none of them ever even went to a SOM board much less won one.

I seem to recall being forced as a kid to got to one of those high visibility retirement ceremonies they have for VIPs and such at Ft. Rucker, If I recall correctly (I am pretty sure about it, but will have to ask my dad), the honored retiree was the last active duty Army pilot to have flown fighter in WWII, this would have been in the early or mid eighties. Yes, that's right he started out as a fighter pilot in WWII, and transitioned to helicopters in the early days of that field and was kept in the Army after the Air Corp was transformed into the Air Force.
