Well I got my chinese softshell jacket from eBay.  I did not have high hopes for the jacket by the way it was wrapped.  It was just the jacket inside a ziplock bag covered in tape.

However, after unwrapping it and trying it on, I'm pretty impressed.  For $32.99 shipped from China, seems like a nice jacket.  No telling how long it will last though.

All the zippers have the little zipper pockets.

And apparently it's made y Under Armour

$32.99 shipped.

My wife bought one of the Chinese Northface ripoffs a couple years back. It barely lasted a winter before zippers and seams started falling apart.

Other than the idiocy of blatantly stealing the name, there's no huge technological advance stolen.

It's just a jacket made out of material. There's no trade secrets involved.

It seems a little small for an XL.  I usually wear a L in most brands but have a long torso/arms so Large is sometimes short in the midsection on me.  I upsized this to an XL and it fits pretty good.  I also have an XL 5.11 jacket and it fits like that.

It is probably not counterfeit; I can't imagine a knock-off Under Armour jacket.  It is most likely stolen out of the factory by a worker and sold on the black market.

My wallet is laughing at you.  I'm not an arctic explorer, I don't need a $500 jacket.  For when I would wear this here in Ohio, I have no doubt I can stay warm layering this over a thermal shirt.  90% of the time I am outside in the winter I am working here on the farm and wearing bibs and a Carhartt.  The other times I am snowboarding and have a Spyder jacket for that that works fine.

Sometimes the factory managers run a "third shift".

I have heard of it happening with shoes. They run the normal shifts and move their product, then they come in after hours and make some extra units on the companies dime for material.

Then move them super cheap to local sellers, and then we find them on ebay and aliexpress.

That's about normal for Chinese ebay.  I've bought a few things from China on ebay; it always came just not very fast.  No worse than Canada.

Be willing to take some measurements?  e.g. armpit to wrist length, collar to bottom hem of back, etc.?

For $33, go for it.  If the jacket never shows up it's not enough to lose any sleep over.  I keep looking the jacket over and it looks surprisingly well made.  Stitching is all straight and I see no major flaws.

As comical and unbelievable as it sounds, some people are 6'+ with large frames, broad shoulders and aren't fatties. I also purposely bought a size larger than I normally wear since it's coming from China. I can pick 3 different brands of jeans in a store, made in 3 different countries that are all the same size and one will be loose, the other tight and the last one will be just right like Goldilocks & the 3 bears.
