Is anyone out there taping the show?  I would be glad to pay anyone kind enough to record, copy and send this tape...I've talked to a few other AZ members who haven't seen it either...any help would be appreciated.

Anyone know if HBO is playing the premire again? With all the trouble they went to by making this film, one would think so......

I heard it was going to be re-run later this week, possibly Wednesday.  You have a chance to tape it now, get a VCR.  I can imagine someone making an official DVD release with all the missed moments.

I cant get HBO, I is on a budget!

I don't get cable either (not available in my building yet), but I called a friend to tape it for me.  Assuming he got my message in time and got the show on tape, I'll lend it to you.  If not...well, I'm back in the same boat with you.

It is supposed to re-run every day for the entire week - although after prime time, so around 11pm or so.

Just sign up for HBO for two months and then cancel.  That's what I'm going to do.  And here are some links to discount coupons for HBO subscriptions:

HBO only costs me $9.95 per month so for two months, I pay just $10.  A lot cheaper than 2 USGI 30 rounders !

Or do that. BTW USGI 30 rounders are worth about $10.00 each. But your idea is better, less effort for me.

Actually they are neary playing it everyday (except Thursday) on any given HBO channels if you have Digital Cable (multiple HBO channels on Digital Cable).

I guess this time I'm going to record off my Digital cable box, instead of the analog one I have in the bedroom. Gives me a change to buy some fresh VHS tapes and re-record it. I watched the attack on the 88s three times last night [:D].

Did you see the credits after the end of the episode?

11 medals were awarded to E/506 for takng that battery. 6 Bronze Stars, 4 Silver Stars, and a Distinguished Service Cross for the Lt.  For that one engagement!  And the "Company" at the time consisted of only 20 men.

According to the credits the action is still used as a example of battlefield leadership and small unit tactics at West Point. Considering that Speilbergs people had better of done a good job reenacting it.
