seems to be damaging Kerry significantly, as he trails in every national poll, except for the hopelessly biased New York Times survey (and www.electoral-vote.com ) which weights and bends its data to produce a tie.

Red baiting always plays well.  Too bad Bush in only conservative about two weeks before every election.

Damn, never thought of it that way before. And people say Bush is dumb? Dumb my ass! Bush is as deceptive as a master of drunken Kung-Fu in that he knows how to kick ass while appearing vulnerable right up until the moment of the strike. Now, stick it to that socialist bastard, Dubya! Tear him a new asshole.

I read Dick Morris' companion column in the Washington Times this morning.  In it, he details how Kerry and his band of merry amateurs are playing checkers while the on-target Bushies play world-class chess.  Kerry and his people got completely snookered by the Bush team.

This truth telling about Kerry's liberalism and the new ads such as the ones by the Swiftees and about the young lady who lost her Mom on 9/11 appear to be leading Bush back into a healthy lead that grows with each passing day.  Now, many Democrats in a position to know are beginning to grumble with sad mutterings that the election is slipping away from Kerry's grasp and that with each critical passing day, as Bush gains more and more ground, Kerry's position looks weaker and weaker.

If by next week's news cycle, the Kerry camp can't pull something like Iran-Contra out of a hat, then it may very well be game, set & match for the President.

That said...remember this my brethren:  IF we win...on November 3, 2004, we begin the campaign to defeat Hillary Clinton.

I do worry about the polls...but I think that the national trends are in the right direction...and that the pollsters are biased.  The only poll that matters is the one on November 2.  I think Bush just may win big.

Hang in there...and God Bless America!

I just heard on NPR that Kerry's giving a speech today in Waterloo, Iowa.  I laughed out loud at that.

Yeah, but but but Kerry is brilliant and the Chimp is so stupid... just ask the fine folks at DUh...

I love when DU'er (and other liberals) howl at Bush's 'stupidity.' It puts them in the unenviable position of having to admit being owned by an 'idiot.' Same as when Reagan was president.

Too bad Kerry isn't a short man. He's got the French part, at least.

Why is it that the Duh'ers throw out one line BS and never stick around for a factual, intelligent debate?

Never mind, I answered my own question.

Dick Morris
Bush is playing chess, but all Kerry can manage is a poor game of checkers.

I can't wait to see his face when he loses.

It took my dumb ass a minute, but I finally got it.  Waterloo . . .

It's impossible to defend an indefensible position (note the post listing the service records of current Congresscritters by Cinci--www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=285933).  Their effort is merely an attempt to put a bit of doubt in fence-sitters minds.  It likely works on the weak-minded--their core constituency.  Problem is, we have few weak-minded dolts who hang out here.

Edit to add link.

Yes, I've been in that thread as well.

I'm sure you are as unhappy with the liberal Sec. of State as I am.  I'm sure he serves some token purpose, though it escapes me.

I'm all for W here but if I recall correctly W said early on in his admin. that the people he chose did not always see things eye to eye with him.  I think that it is good to have Powell and Rumsfeld talking the W's ear to give both sides and let him figure out which way to go.

That's the point.  A man who surrounds himself with yes men and women is a piss poor leader.  Bush hasn't done that.  He's picked a bunch of smart people to advise him and then sorts through what they tell him to make his decisions.  Kerry on the other hand, listens to pollsters.
