Just got a diamond drag bit for my cnc. Can't stop using this thing. Done granite, glass, a zippo, an e cig box. I think when I get done everything in my house
will be engraved. I'm on the fence, but I think I'm gonna do a gun next.

I made the vector myself from a JPEG using Vectric Vcarve Pro.

That is pretty awesome. I bought one of those cheap chinese laser cutters a couple years back couldn't stop cutting/engraving with it. I never even turned my 3D printer on after getting the cutter.

It does full 3d, obviously not on granite. I use it mostly for 2.5d things like engraved boxes, name plates for desks, and such.

This was supposed to be a desk nameplate for a co-worker of mine. It's was never finished. It's walnut, and figured maple. I had to make another one because the bottom of the A got caught on a
tack cloth, and broke off. (3 hour job too I was pissed) All the machine marks on the backround were the result of me not having a surfacing bit to level my wasteboard before I cut it. Lesson learned.

This one surprised me. It's a pretty small engraving, and still turned out pretty well.

Not sure why it turned my last 2 pictures sideways. This particular machine runs $1500, and all you need is a computer, and a few bits to get started. It's called a Shapeoko 3 XL from Carbide 3D.
