In my Agency if anyone walked into our building all of us would stop talking until we figured out what someone wanted that just walked in!
That may be a pesamistic way of looking at things but we give everyone the once over until we figure out what they want. |

You must work at a pretty slow police station (no offense) because just tonight I stopped by my fathers precinct (another Detroit Police precinct) to drop something off to him and there had to be 15 18 people there for various reasons (7pm ) not sure how any work would get done if they all stopped to look at every new person that walked in??

My point is that there didn't seem to be anyone else that the officers were helping at the moment the POS walked into the building. Nobody seemed to pay him any mind at all...small dept or big dept...just saying we should all be mindful of our surroundings (especially while on duty). |

The station in our little town (22 sworn officers) has a controlled access foyer. After 4 pm you have to be buzzed in and that gets you inside the door. The person that let you in is behind bullet proof glass with an intercom.
