You sure can load it through the top just like an ADL or BDL.

If it's a .308, replace that God-awful Remington box mag system with one from H-S Precision. The Remington box mag system SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! We've had no end of failures to feed with both our 700 LTR's. There's a reason Remington doesn't make that mag system anymore.
The H-S unit is available from H-S or Brownells. Just replaces your existing trigger guard with no modifications. |

The 308 Win ones that I have shoot will ocassionally will not feed the next round.
You can load from the top without removing the mag. |
