I would love to have one, just because.

But not for what they charge for one. Dang they are expensive!

How do they shoot?

Fit & finish?

No, I'd rather have a 10mm Glock than a DE.

Very Accurate

Fit & finish?
Very Good

I have a Mark I Two-Tone in .357.  A friend has a Mark VII with 50 and .44 barrels.  They are fun guns, and with proper grip and ammo, they function just fine, and are quite the Crowd Pleasers.

I have a 357Rem Mag version, I like it. It is kind of expensive to shoot because you must use jacket bullets, otherwise lead will foul the gas port at the end of the barrel.

If there's a good price on it, I would think about it.

My brother has one in .44mag that hasn't given him any problems and it really is fun to shoot.

Buy a used one and save $400

I miss my old .44

The .50 AE will violently fling brass directly at your forehead.

For the right price.
I've shot both the .357 and .50AE both ran fine and were fun to shoot.

USP .45 Tac does everything the "crew served pistol" does for half the price

Already got the G20 and while it's certainly a better fighting pistol, it doesn't have the WOW factor of the the DE.

I'd like to get a .50 one day so I can do a bad fake Brit accent and say things like "Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity" or "You're shrinkin', and your mincy little faggot balls are shrinkin' with you."

Since I reload, .50AE isn't going to be particularly cost-prohibitive.

.357 Mag please, but .44 Mag will do.

Absolutely.

It's not very high on the list, but it's on there.

One day I will have one. Probably in 44.

Nope.

Have shot, not my cup of tea. I'll stick with 1911's, thank you.

If I can't/won't realistically carry it, I see little reason to own it (in the case of a handgun).

One of the shops around here has a gold plated DE in 50AE for sale.  All it is missing it Da Beamz.

I think the idea, was for a semiautomatic hunting pistol.

Sure I´d like to have one.

But then only in .50AE, whatfor else should I buy a DE?

Here in Germany you can see them sometimes too.
A buddy of mine has one as a "back-up-weapon" by hunting.

He´s a little crazy, I really like him.

For the money there are other guns I believe offer a lot more.

That's my understanding as well...but I have rifles that weigh only slightly more and are a lot more fun to shoot. Not saying my take on it is the end-all be-all, some people own them and enjoy them. I'm just too much of a pragmatist. I look at the cost of buying & feeding that thing, and I think 'hmm, how much .45 can I reload for that much?"

Had a 357 and a 44 many years ago.  Both were great pistols and would drop a whitetail deer to at least 100yds.  Self defense no, but for hunting, I would get another if the price was right.

For the right price....sure.
I've always wanted one....ever since they came out.
Always thought that it was a cool looking (albeit impractical) pistol.
Have shot a few of them over the years....function was spot on.
The .50AE was a bit big for any real useful purpose....no way I could see carrying that, or using it in any realistic defensive scenario....but at the right price I get one......hell yeah.

I've been tempted to pick up a .500 S&W revolver, but I strongly suspect my experience with that would be very similar to yours with the DE.

I'd be tempted to get a really nice 44 Mag revolver if I wanted a powerful handgun

Used to have a DE in 44mag. It certainly gets you noticed at the range. However, in the end it's just a novelty that's expensive to feed.

So, yeah, I bought one, but no, I wouldn't buy another.

I love .44 magnum.  I have tons of fun reloading .44 magnum and .44 special and shooting them through a revolver and lever action.

I've shot one in .44 Mag and it was not bad.  Much more pleasant than a Ruger Redhawk.

I have several already –– the .500 would just be for the novelty, I know it, and that's what keeps me from biting.

I think 454 Casull or .500 out of a really well made revolver would be more fun than a DE

I really would enjoy owning one in .44 Mag, with a two-tone finish.

Yes, that's how I skinned my Desert Eagle in Counter-Strike. This is America, I can have shit just because it's cool.

I'm the weekend RO at a local gun club. I've shot several in various calibers and I've got to say that out of all the "fun" guns I've shot out here it's easily in the top five. DE's are just flat out fun to pull the trigger on. Shooting BIG bullets out if a BIG pistol is just a blast.

The last time I fired one the owner dared me to do a mag dump one handed out of his .50. Didn't have to ask me twice. And yes it was awesome, even though I didn't hit crap after the first three shots.

After a checking off a lot of other toys on my list and couldn't think of what to buy next, I'd consider one of these in .50AE for the hell of it.

I've shot both the .44 and the .50.

They're both accurate. I don't like the ergonomics and they're to bulky and heavy.

My brother carries his in a shoulder holster, but he's a pretty bulky guy.

I much prefer a revolver, even though revolvers kick harder.

Sure the ammo is expensive as all hell, and it has mean recoil, but when you finally get the hang of it, its disgustingly accurate

Because of the shape or location of the controls I get to choose between getting the top of my thumb ripped by the thumb safety or riding the slide release preventing the slide from locking back.  This results in me having to manually rack the slide on a reload, and it has a ridiculously heavy recoil spring.

None of this makes me want one.

I'd take a good Smith revolver in .44 over a DE any day.

The Etch a Sketch of guns.

Everyone own's one at one point but somehow you don't remember getting rid of it.  And every used gun store seem to have one of those and a SW 500 behind the counter.

I've wanted one for a while. The .50 is the best gun I've found for releiving stress after a long day.
It's big, obnoxious and lets out a hell of a fire ball.
