In before Extorris and "Mighty Fine Police Work!"

ETA: We already did this story, and I think Extorris already posted that.

"He and another teacher had been in the robotics classroom using a force machine to test the trigger pull on a Springfield EMP 9mm handgun. Surveillance camera footage shows Brown and the teacher exit the classroom, with Brown returning alone shortly thereafter. He again used the force machine, this time with his personal Sig Sauer, apparently causing it to discharge."

We're talking a real fucking genius here, aren't we?

Sounds like he was playing with trigger pull settings... which leaves one question.

Which one of you was it?

I searched and found nothing, plus the "destroying evidence" part is new as of today.

Yes, I am not calling "dupe." You have provided new information.

Also, the original thread did not have the info on exactly HOW the genius fired his gun.

I cannot fathom how someone could be fucking stupid enough to test the trigger pull ON A GUN THAT IS LOADED.

It is utterly beyond me, the level of rocket scientist intellect that is involved here.

Dumbass.
Link Posted: 12/20/2016 6:57:49 AM EST
So, what was the trigger pull weight on his Sig?
Link Posted: 12/20/2016 7:17:48 AM EST
I get why he wanted to know the precise trigger pull of his guns. I can't understand how he would begin such a test without fully clearing that gun a dozen times and keeping the muzzle pointed at a couple feet of textbooks (safest direction and something you would be willing to destroy) during the test.

Every single time people; pick up a firearm, follow the four absolutes and verify the condition.

.38-caliber Sig Sauer pistol?

Link Posted: 12/20/2016 7:50:36 AM EST
GD...

Most think an M1A is a great gun and can't fathom the thought of someone having an ND...

"What is ND?!?"

You have got to be kidding me.

How about no business unloading and playing with his gun in the school at all

If ever a story warranted that meme its this one.

Though Brown was engaged in conversations with school staff on the projectile's origin, he did not admit to having fired a gun, reports indicate. As a result, the school was placed in secure mode while administrators attempted to discern what had happened.

Staff gave Brown the object. He put it in his pocket and later told them he lost it, the reports state.

"During this incident, Adam did not initially confess to discharging his weapon," wrote Detective Sgt. William Arndt. "He confessed after being confronted by school administrators. Adam also admitted that he attempted to destroy evidence when school administrators gave him the fired bullet to protect. Adam left the school building, placing the fired gun in his personal vehicle, and threw the fired bullet into the school lawn in an attempt to thwart the investigation."

Bake him away toys.

In a building full of children, for whom both of the following characters are responsible:

School Resource Officer (another asinine government title): "Hey, let's play with my guns in your fancy scientific gizmo! It will be fun."

Science teacher: "Sure, whip that thing out and stick it right in here!"

BANG!

Absolute idiots.

Don't you know he must have shit himself when he was watching the display count the pounds of force on that trigger, then BOOM.

So stupid and careless. Glad no serious injury, other than his career.

Arndt spoke with Brown, who was "extremely emotional and explained that he had been in contact with his union representative who had advised him not to provide a statement

9mm is .355

Most likely it was a .380 ACP, since the article describes it as a backup weapon.

It sounds like he came back alone and had his ND without the teacher present.

Yup he was initially playing with the 9 and then came back and played with the 380. That's how I read it.

He was literally "Officer of the Year" and had been training others...
