I have an 8 year old daughter that is constantly writing to the deployed troops. I have had a hard time getting anyone to write back to them. She has now enlisted the help of her school mates and her friends at the after school program. They write letters draw pictures and write prayers for ALL those deployed. She asks why don't  they ever write back? I try to explain the security risks that could be involved but they really don't get it. I would be willing to set up a group of these children with a soldier, sailor, marine or pilot that would be interested in sending them a letter and recieving letters, pictures and prayers from them. Anyone that could help please contact me through I/M or E-mail...
Thanks Godbless and be safe.

I would love a deployed arfcom penpal too.  I would like to be in touch with someone that is actually over there and can say what is really happenning, rather than the filtered stuff we see on the news.  Right now it's all politics now anyway, we never see anything real.
As a penpal, I'm no third grader, but I think I can be entertaining.

Does anyone just want a regular old penpal?

I get the feeling that troops are either way too busy, or not into that kind of thing anymore.  I used to write to a couple of guys on the USS Constellation through some program, and they always wrote back, it was fun.
