It would be as successful at promoting peace as the Department of Education has been in educating our children and the Department of Energy has been in securing energy independence.

That was the intention behind them when Carter created them, both have failed at everything except expanding their budgets and wasting taxpayers' money.

If you want to solve a problem, creating government bureaucracies is not the way to accomplish it.

What a waste of time. Why is DeFazio's name on something like that?

This is the first one, next is the Ministry of plenty then the Ministry of love.

WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

Every time I look at 1984 on my shelf I start to feel that Orwell isn't that far off.

look at all the CA and NY...big surprise...ministry of love indeed, if that comes to pass, it will be trouble for Baracus.

It's Ron Paul's democratic doppelganger...

P.S. Kucinich has been pushing for this every time he has ran for President....

War defines peace. Or more precisely, the absence of war.
