I've been reading over there and they talk about reading posts supporting Trump and the right and how terrible the deplorables are. My question is where do we deplorables post?

Yeah, pretty sure DU is just angry old hippies.

I bet there are reddit subforums for far left/Marxist types that have more traffic than the whole of DU.

Why, because it doesn't have pretty pictures and post counts and stuff?

It's a simple format that focuses on the topic at hand and if you want to include images and other stuff, you have to learn some HTML. One feature they have that I wish this site has is the ability to view all the replies to a post.

There are a few decent boards.  I like surfing the Ron Paul forums ( I  don't much post but it's a solid read.  There is USA Messageboard which has an ad issue. ( really bring a blocker) They have both sides and some forum posters from the old discussanything.com  forums I used to frequent from 2003 till last year when it shut down hang there.  There is also the HEAVILY Lib, but stricktish rule, and open discussion with conservative mods on board straightdope I have visited there since '03 and have an account or two I rarely post on.  That one I'm careful on, and there are some very intelligent people as well as the kool-aid drinkers, but I find it good for a real discussion if I'm in the mood and they have a topic that needs to be "corrected"

I've cozied up here after surfing for ages, if I want rightishwing groupthink I can find it here.  but I do miss GD when people posted cool at home projects and stuff, although arfcom's specilized forums kick ass. I read them but don't post often as I don't want to look like a dumbass.

Really? Half of the ones I know. Constantly share posts of articles from Daily Kos, Huff Po, etc..  Not only are the articles primarily un-American, but the comments under the article are filled with haters who often promote interring or liquidation of conservatives. Left wing nuts are everywhere. Democrats are lead by them and half or more of the fan club is completely nuts.  No keeping them in the voting booth. They are in your face.

Uh, no. This board is infested with 5th column trolls. What the OP is looking for are sites which ban shills. Sites not interested in debate, but providing inspiration and advice for enemies of cultural Marxism, such as Vox Day, Heartiste, and Return of Kings. Vox Day seems to be at the center of much of it.

Your real enemy is typically found among Reddit and the like. There are plenty of socialist sub-reddits with real socialists there. Never been to DU, but my understanding is it is just a forum for hard line Democrats. But there are many, real actual socialists elsewhere. DU is likely just limited to the US to.

Which is doubly funny, because if you spend any time on Reddit or more "lefty" forums, they think that Republicans are a hivemind marching in lockstep.

I don't honestly know of any Right-leaning forums that are overall better than this. Reddit has some decent right-wing forums, but they're pretty much in a cold war with the site admins, many of whom really want to ban them, but can never come up with a solid non-partisan reason why.

FWIW, knowledge of DU outside of ARFCOM is basically nonexistent. I've seen plenty of Reddit's far-left stuff, and nobody has ever mentioned them. As far as I can tell, they're a tiny group of radical Liberals, militant to the point of near insanity, that has basically no influence whatsoever outside of a tiny forum that nobody has ever heard of.

I wonder if any of the big talk radio guys ever put up any discussion forums...
