Interesting to see if they get away with it.

They've made it explicit. Democrats are accusing Republicans of trying to sabotage the recovery –– or at least stall it –– by blocking all short-term measures to boost the economy, even ones they previously supported.

In a Capitol press conference Wednesday, the Senate's top Democrats
argued that Republicans don't want to pass measures like a temporary
payroll tax holiday for employers because they'll improve President
Obama's re-election chances.

"Our Republican colleagues in the House and Senate are driven by
putting one man out of work: President Obama," said Senate Majority Whip
Dick Durbin (D-IL).

What's that saying?  When the law's on your side, pound the the law.  When the facts are on your side, pound the facts.  When you've got neither, pound the table.

like they did in 2010 right?   The "average voter" doesn't pay attention to who says what. They know Obama and democrats in power have lead to higher prices and less jobs.    The "average voter" remembers that GW was evil because of the massive deficits and bad economy and that Obamas deficits are way bigger and his economy is way worse.  The "average voter" noticed their health insurance sky rocketed once Obamacare passed and are pissed off he signed it against their will.  The "average voter" is not believing it is bushs fault anymore or that the resistance to Obama is race based.   The democrats don't have a leg to stand on.  It will take republicans worse at debate than McCain was to lose an election in even a moderate district come 2012.

Blaming this shit on Republicans is only going to come off as childish to anyone but the libtards. Bush and republican hate is gone.  It has been replaced by commie hate.  pointing fingers will make things worse for them at this point in the game.  The only democrats in non libtard districts including Obama who have a chance are the ones who make a drastic move to the right.  They don't seem to be doing that and they will pay the price.

"all short-term measures to boost the economy" equals their desperate attempts to prop things up through November 2012.

They are desperate, they know that If Our Messiah goes down in a big wave election a lot of them will lose their jobs, too.

I was recently told that the Dems did not really have a majority during the first 2 years of Obama because they did not have a SUPER majority and the Republicans could still block stuff

People have already forgotten that THIS is what happens when you pick a closet-socialist with NO applicable executive experience to run the world's largest economy based on his skin color and a few ghost-written speeches.

People are ignorant, because they choose to be ignorant.   The Media Machine propaganda will make the `12 election much, much closer than it should be.

November 2010 was nearly 2 years into into Zero's Hope and Change Tour of Fail. The election set historical records. They can say what they want but they will rightly feel the wrath again in 2012. Count on it.

"The 2010 United States elections were held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. All 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 37 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate were contested in this election along with 38 state and territorial governorships, 46 state legislatures (except Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey and Virginia),[1] four territorial legislatures and numerous state and local races. The election occurred in the middle of Democratic President Barack Obama's first term in office.

Approximately 82.5 million people voted.[2] The Democratic Party suffered major defeats in many national and state level elections, with many seats switching to Republican Party control. The Republican Party gained 63 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, recapturing the majority, and making it the largest seat change since 1948 and the largest for any midterm election since the 1938 midterm elections. The Republicans gained six seats in the U.S. Senate, expanding its minority, and also gained 680 seats in state legislative races,[3][4][5] to break the previous majority record of 628 set by Democrats in the post-Watergate elections of 1974.[5] This left Republicans in control of 25 state legislatures, compared to the 15 still controlled by Democrats. After the election, Republicans took control of 29 of the 50 State Governorships."

I hope like hell you're right, but I also hope the man they replace him with is NOT Romney. Then we will just get the diet version of what we already have and shit will continue to stack up. We are at the point of no return right now with debt.

It's all they got, they're out of ideas and the KNOW they're in trouble. Again I'll reiterate, Obama is NOT a shoe-in for re-election in fact I'm beginning to think that it's the repubs to loose. Of course a lot can change between now and the election but it all depends on the nominee. Bachmann/Perry/Romney or even Palin is the nominee, Barry's chicken's have come home to roost.
