I can’t seem to find a place/online community where people sell PM's ?? I have found a lot that have a ton of info a couple that allow members to sell but those sites have had no posts for a long time...

To me an online community would be in place for this, like AR15 is for guns/info/EE

After all when you buy direct from and large online Gold silver place you are paying over spot, generally .60-1.00 over spot for an ounce of silver and 25-50$ for an ounce of gold.
The same places buy your silver and gold for under spot .50-1:50 under for silver and 25-75$ under for gold. So as a seller to these places you lose money compared to selling at spot.

Same thing goes for Pawn shops or all the GOLD AND SILVER shops that have popped up. All of them sell for over spot and buy for under spot.

Now as a business I understand they need a margin for profit. They have overhead and employees to pay and profit to make so I get that.

However my question is why can’t I find an online community like AR15 for buying/selling PM's??

If you’re looking to sell you can sell at spot and make more money than you would from going to any of your local places or by sending it off to any of the large companies the buy/sell PM

If you’re buying then you save money because you would only pay spot unlike all other places that sell it for over spot.

I understand the "risk" associated with buying online but we do it here successfully....I have bought silver, lowers, uppers, ammo, parts through this site with great success.

Sorry for the off the wall post but I have been looking to cut out the middle man for the last couple of days and just can’t find anything at all set up to help people like me which to me is very weird as it’s been a huge market for some time.....

Honestly at even .50 over spot for silver (which is on the low end for what’s being asked) for 100 ounces Id be paying an extra 50$- 300 ounces would be 150.00!
(people selling are losing this amount as well)
Gold can be even worse lol

So someone needs to start an online community that cuts out the middle man and lets sellers get more money and buyers pay less, it only makes sense!!

If anyone reading this knows of such a place let me know please Id like to save some money and buy the gold and silver Im looking for :)

All they allow is paypal, paypal charges a fee % so the seller generally hikes up the charge to cover that or charge a crazy amount for shipping. Ebay also doesn’t allow back door channels for sales (at least that is my understanding). They don’t allow you to set up a sale outside of ebay. I say this simply because I don’t want to buy 1 gold ounce at a time or 1 once of silver or 1 10oz bar of silver.

Plus like I said Paypal charges a % to the seller who intern charge sit to you thus defeating the purpose...

It honestly shocks me with how hot the PM market is that there is no active community out there like the one I described in my post...

Goldline is 50-80 over spot for gold and Ampex I believe is 50 25-30

I know there are sights to buy from I was just talking about why there wasnt one for people who want to buy and sell to other people for spot.

Thanks though I did look at Goldline just in case they had a better over spot price then the rest.

don't people buy or sell PMs here on the ee?  but you're right, I'm surprised there aren't PM related forums.  but I bet the buy/sell forums would be FULL of scammers.

its called Kitco  they have a forum and a store..  people sell on there all the time.

I looked at them but thought it was only kitco that was selling, didn’t look into the forum. Thought that if the business was selling then they wouldn’t allow people in the forum to sell. Ill have to look again at the forum piece. Their store is 20-30 above spot for gold, didnt look at silver.

It's been a while since I bought any PM's, but several years ago I bought some silver from them and IIRC he sold it for spot, or very, very close to it.
