works out to be about .33 cents per round. We are still at .45-.60 cents here so seems pretty good never heard of the manufacturer tho.

Like I said we are still @ .45 per round up here for shitty wolf/ brown bear closer to .60 for anything brass. I have no idea how the ammo market is in the lower  48

People complaining about brass cased being 45-60 cents a round need to learn how to use the internet...  I've been buying brass at .34-36 cents a round.  Steel I've gotten for 25-26.

This.

In 15 years of owning and shooting ARs, I have never seen a post wherein a steel cased round caused a Kaboom.

I prefer steel cased in my M16.

+100.  My local Cabela's has Herters's brand 223 on sale for $5.99.  Just finished running 200 rounds through my PSA PTAC build.  Not one problem.

Going back for more later.

Ah, now that is a bummer.  Makes you wonder about .mil...  How is it they can transport all that ammo over seas via ground shipping methods and get it there on time.  I mean they surely can't transport it with planes, it'd all blow up!

I'm not worried about kabooms.

I'm worried about stuck cases, which I've seen a few times.  Total pain in the ass.

Your comparing a pimple to a tumor here.

One is irritating, the other destroys the gun.

I'll take irritation any day of the week instead of blowing up a 15k weapon.  Even a 1000.00 gun is a gamble with brass case for just plinking and playing.

For me, this is irrelevant.

I only use my own reloaded ammo in my ARs. Brass is just easier to work with.

Steel case ammo is reloadable, as long as it is boxer primed.  Good for one reload only, I found the neck splits after the second firing.  Very easy to resize and doesn't need to get trimmed.
