At dinner last night I noticed that my 14 year old daughter was wearing my Bushmaster shirt.  She leaves for school usually right before I wake up.  Now I asked her about this and she said she liked the shirt and looks good in black.  Apparently people were pointing out to teachers all day long that she had a gun on the back of her shirt, even the principle.  Noone said anything to her about it.  Apparently we have the school now trained that any time they harras our kids over petty things they will get an inordinate amount of crap from us in return.  Last time was when they sent her home for wearing a sleevless blouse, very tasteful.  I sent the note back to the principle with my lawyers business card should he have anything further to say about the matter.  We heard nothing more about it.  See, even liberal teachers can learn and be taught.

when the clothing Nazis were out in school, I would always wear stuff to piss em off.  I went to an ultra liberal highschool so it wasnt hard.  I loved wearing my tasty animals t-shirt on "Animal rights day," my "Nuke the World" shirt on earth day, or my "Celebrate Diversity" (u know the one I am talking about ) on the "Columbine rememberance day.

With every gun show I attend, I gotta buy the Mrs. a new gun t-shirt. Well my eldest daughter takes notice and now, the next one I attend I'll be forced to buy two shirts. While she hasn't started school yet (she begins this fall), I figure i'll start her and the school system off right from the get-go.

My bushmaster is all about law and order, and there is no law that orders her not to wear a Tshirt without offensive slogans, foul language, or nudity.  Nowhere is there a law that prevents her from wearing an image of sporting goods and rattle snakes.

I never wear any t-shirts with gun related pictures or words for the same reason I dont put any firearms related bumper stickers on my car, I dont want to draw attention or get harrassed or searched.

Not for nothing, but this is what you said in the thread about the kid who got kicked out of the Bush rally for his clothes.

So being in a 10,000 person group at a Bush rally and dressing like a high school kid is out of line but wearing gun t-shirts to school is appropriate.  I'd would like to hear how you reconcile the two positions.

If you realize the deplorable state of the public school system, and that it has become a liberal indoctrination machine, my question is why are you not home schooling your daughter?  If you would not let your daughter hangout with drug dealers for 5 hours a day, then why are you letting other people, with other agendas, fill her mind with their version of knowledge?  If you think, “my daughter is different” I think you are fooling yourself.

Because the President of the United States was not speaking at the Junior high school.  Second, because its damned funny, and third because there is no specific rule against it, and the one that they recently had to debate was tabled because of the afformentioned court descision.  Fourth because it frosts the left wing liberal social studies teacher  who had to approve her history project studying the gattling gun and machine guns.  Now how is it different, well they are differnt venues.  The young men in question may well have been just fine in school, but not to see the President.  All things in their own place.  BTW what do you have against guns, do you think children should not be exposed to firearms information in school? Should it be hidden from them?  Now if they were meeting the President for a day of hunting on his crawford ranch, then it might be appropriate to wear clothing for the occaision.  See, all things in their own place.

The office in general and this President in particular, but my feelings would be the same regardless of who was in that office.  If it is important enough to go, its important enough to dress for the occaision.  Now, if these kids want to be pimpin around their friends, thats fine with me, but one should always dress for the occaision and the venue.

A Tshirt and jeans are not out of place at school.  They most certainly would be out of place at our country club.  As would low rider pants that allow a clear view of the plumber effect.
