I think we will see a lot of the 1970's actors passing in the next few years.

He was pretty good as the "Newbie Lieutenant" in "The Bedford Incident"

If they fire one, I'll fire one...

I figured there'd be a bigger thread about his passing.

Bump.

I was hoping maybe he'd do a cameo on the new show.  I think he was the last of the main characters from the original series still alive.
RIP. Maybe they'll dedicate Monday's show to him.

He was part of a small group I took from Crested Butte to Aspen on an overnight horsepack trip 20 years or so, ago.

Seemed like a nice enough guy.

RIP, Jim

I'll probably get booed but I always liked him better than Jack Lord.

The timing of these things are unusual.

Didn't Johnny Cash die around the time his movie was made, and the same with Ray Charles

No boos here.  I always thought the Danno character was more personable.  Probably true for the individual too, as Lord was a fervent anti-gunner.

I was hoping the same thing, being his mother ( he was adopted) Helen Hayes did a cameo on his show...

When the original show was on, my sister had a big crush on him. I used to torment her un-relentlessly over it.

She used to watch "Spencer's Mountain" over and over whenever it came on TV, this was before VCR's.

I actually grew to like that movie.

RIP, Clayboy.
