I was hoping maybe he'd do a cameo on the new show. I think he was the last of the main characters from the original series still alive.
RIP. Maybe they'll dedicate Monday's show to him.

He was part of a small group I took from Crested Butte to Aspen on an overnight horsepack trip 20 years or so, ago.

When the original show was on, my sister had a big crush on him. I used to torment her un-relentlessly over it.
She used to watch "Spencer's Mountain" over and over whenever it came on TV, this was before VCR's. I actually grew to like that movie. RIP, Clayboy. |
