I was on the treadmill at the gym, reading a Sports Illustrated someone had left in the magazine rack and I came across an obituary of one of the earliest Puerto Rican MLB players.  He was black and once, when in a restaurant somewhere in the South during the early 50s, a waiter walked up to his table and said "We don't serve Negroes here."
He smiled and replied "That's all right, I don't eat Negroes."
