So, last weekend I'm fishing up in OK along with my fiance and her parents. We're at a pier on Lake Arbuckle, when I decide I'm going to go to this clear grassy area right next to the parking lot. There's lots of rocks under the water there, and the fish are more likely to bite. I stayed there for about 5 minutes, then it started pouring. So we went home. That night, my ankles swelled up like cantaloupes, and there were bumps all over them. I started to run a 102 degree fever. Well, come to find out I had stepped in a damn chigger nest or something. I had more than 200 of the bastards bite me all over (mostly ankles), including my nuts. The parasites have left me wearing sandals and shorts all week because of the oozing sores. Needless to say, I haven't gotten any... Not only that, but they ruined a perfectly good fishing trip. I've decided next time I'm gonna go fishing in grass, I'll empty a can of gasoline in the area and fry the things first. What do y'all say...wanna help me eradicate the little demons?
