Link Posted: 10/18/2004 12:56:56 PM EST

WAY TOO COOL DAD!

I like your dad's philosophy about guns. Don't sell any of your guns if you can avoid it.

The gun is yours becaused deserved it and you paid for it with all of your hard earned money, and you will remember it for the rest of your life. CONGRADS!

Please give us a range report after you've shot it.

Keep up the good grades.

Sounds like you have a great dad make sure you thank him through your actions. Keeping up your grades, not getting in trouble, etc.. Trust is not give but earned, sound like you are on the right track, congrates on the AR be safe and have fun.

He's just jealous of a great father-son tradition. In my case I received a Sig226 when I turned 21 from my father. It's still running great. I think he went pistol because he saw an under 21 kid crowding his tiny apartment with a Remi12ga and Ruger10/22 as means of protection.

On another note- The Red Rider fucking rocks!

Oh dont worry about safety. The most unsafe things I do are with fireworks. But thats another story.I am super safe with guns.Thing is no one asks me about my AR at the range.I want to convert people but whatever.I know it will run great and now that it's ordered I feel good that I went Rock River instead of Colt. After I shoot it I will give a e-mail to Rock River telling them to keep up the good work and shizzle.

Thanks,Tyler

I bought a Nickeled Colt Python 38spl with a 8" BBL when my was born; and when he turns 21, it will be his. It is unfired by me, with the box and all of the related paperwork.

Niiice. My dad bought my Bushy for me at about the same age, same deal.

I turn 18 in a week... I'm getting an RRA no-ban to mark it.

<--- 16 year old who will be the proud owner of 4 guns(2 handguns, AK, AR) the day he turns 18 thanks to a great dad. Paid for exclusively by myself.

I'm also thinking about dropping $1,450 on a Wilson CQB or building up a quality no-ban M4.

I work ~30 hours a week on top of high school and pay for my truck/gas/insurance. Feeling the freedom.

Don't tell some people here that you own your own truck, they'll call you spoiled and say you don't deserve it
