2. The Bill of Rights...
...needs to be strongly reinforced. Currently, it's very vague and poorly-written, which allows conservatives to trash it. They won't be able to do that if it's clearer, and state explicitly the following rights:

- Freedom of thouhgt
- Freedom of conscience
- Freedom of expression
- Absolutely no legislation of morality
- Freedom over one's own body, including consensual sex and abortion
- Right to privacy
- Privacy of mail, telephone calls, and the Internet
- Abolition of capital punishment
- Universal voting rights for every citizen aged 18 or above, including convicted felons who are in prison
- Freedom of and from religion
- Separation of church and state
- Freedom of assembly, association, petition, and protest
[red]- Right to unionize and strike[/red]
- Freedom of movement, including abolition of all immigration restrictions
- Constitutional ban on conscription
- No suspension of habeas corpus for any reason
[red]- No sentencing for theft and robbery when the convict or someone dependent no him is on the brink of starvation[/red]
- Equal rights for people of different creeds, sexes, races, or sexual orientations
- Legalization of treason
- Freedom of information
[red]- No denial of citizenship to anyone for any reason[/red]

Using that logic, Osama Bin Laden would have a constitutional right to become a citizen of this country, go on strike, and steal from anyone around him in order to feed himself and his dependents instead of working...

Liberalism has caused more trouble and grief in this country than any other single thing in our history.  [toilet]

Not Liberalism, Leftism. Not the same thing. Condoning theft has never been part of the liberal agenda, but has always been a part of the leftist agenda. Leftists masquerading as liberals. Thomas Jefferson was a Liberal, these pukes are leftist marxist pissant puke licking scum.

[b][red]Thomas Jefferson was a Liberal[/red][/b]

This is incorrect in how the word 'liberal' is used in today's lexicon. Jefferson would be an independent, conservative by action and thought in today's world if he were here today. He did not believe in the 'State' mentality as is the norm for today's Liberal. He was for independent thought and responsibility for one's own actions. He believed in minimialist government. Does this sound like a Liberal of today?

Has anyone noticed there is no freedom to protect yourself?

Of course there isn't!  With all these other freedoms, society will be so perfect, no one needs to protect themselves from anyone.  The thief breaking into your house is just feeding his family.  I guess if you find one, you just say,  "Sure, just help yourself.  Oh, if you have a problem lifting anything, I'll be in the kitchen."

Exactly. Of course, why would anyone bother to work if stealing for food was a constitutional right. Sure, people's morals/ethics might keep them from stealing, but it probably wouldn't even be called stealing. They'd probably just call it, "getting food."

Postings like that one on DU are probably some of the best arguments against recreational drug use yet...

Remind me to give out the "I told you so's" if these idiots get their way.  Society with these "rights" will collapse.  Everyone and their mother will move to what is left of the United States.  Hunger will be running rampant as hardly anyone will work.  Those that do will be robbed of their labors.  It would force a decfacto "might makes right" system.  If you are not strong enough to defend your food, than it really isint yours.  I can see it now, nomadic gaings moving from place to place killing the few farmers that are left, stay till the crops are gone, then move on.  I for one would not stand for that.  I will keep my weapons and blow them away.  If I can continue to live after the event will be based on if the g'ovt is still intact or has it collapsed from lack of revenue due to unsurpassed laziness.

A "constitution" like that will force another dark ages.  If the United States falls, the world will regress.  It has happened before and it will happen again.  Shame too, a Constitutional Republic was such a good idea.

Your right, but your wrong.  They use to be different but Liberals have been hijacked by leftists.  That is why the Democrates are being voted out by the bushel.

Legalization of TREASON!?
Hell why not make assassination of politicans legal!?

What sort of screwed up drug are these idiots on that has taken them so far from reality?

I don't like capital punishment... but there are people that just need to be killed.
Freedom of info... Finally find out the formula to stealth paint! make my car invisible to police radar!

I swear, sometimes I think the only reason they post crazy shit like that is so it'll get the "other side" pissed.

I think it is called Anarchy. But then why have formal rules to make it legal? Just too weird. Writer must be a convict for theft/robbery and is still pissed about losing his right to participate in the process. Just another FREAK.

So you'll spend longer in jail for not paying your parking tickets then selling state secrets to the Chinese?

So basically, nothing would change with the legalization of treason.

A perfect example of when you "feel" rather than think.

I'm sure that the person putting that list together probably came up with all those ideas independently.  An idea came up, he felt good about it and wrote it down.

Problem is that most left leaning/socialist types never go beyond what basically is a sound bite.  They never see the consequences of how each part interacts and creates a whole.

The difference between "them" and "us" is that we here will apply logic and experience to a list like this and realize, as a whole, it would be a disaster.

They will fixate on one item at a time, never ever seeing the big picture.

Orginized anarchy.
Is it just me or does it seem that the ones always calling for anarchy in whatever form are the ones least likely to suvive it?
In true anarchy if I want it, or you, I take it by force of arms. If you can stop me with greater force, you live. Yet all the whiny putzes calling for anarchy or some veiled form of it always look like the ones that will either be food or grow it for those who aren't afaid of thier own shadow.
I say let them have it for one week, when we've thinned the herd it should be alot nicer out there.

I keep seeing posts here about the Democratic Underground (I refuse to call them DU since it might demean a great pro-hunting wetlands group) and I just went there and checked out their forums for the first time.

Those morons are scary! If you haven't gone there to read their drivel, I urge you to do so. You might want to have a bucket next to you when you do though! [puke]

It's high time we got these rights.  As it stands now, I am not allowed to think certain thoughts, to resist rape, to have my mail unchecked by the gooberment,

Legalization of treason and abolition of morality.....that will come in handy.  Especially for future Democrat presidents.

Treason already is legal, but you have to do a really good job of it, otherwise you're screwed!
