Okay, yesterday I bought a 1989 Ford Bronco.

It looks like this

Basically plain cracker white like the one OJ drove. It has a chrome front push bar and is not lifted.

So, what type of simple mods can I do to this thing?

I only go to the woods a few times a year so mostly it will be an around town vehicle. I have a radio planned but need other ideas that will give it that "Sgtar15" look.

What o you suggest?

That's my favorite version of the Bronco, the fullsize one anyhow. The original Bronco was better, but it was more of a jeep type ehicle really. I had an 88, great machine. It had the 300 6 cylinder, great engine with lots of troque, unstoppable off road.

It doesn't need anything. Except to be removed from that California hell hole.
Link Posted: 11/1/2004 5:16:08 AM EST
It's staying in Cali.

Yes we may have a political hell hole here at times, but 1/2 an hour away is paradise...and leaving this state is akin to leaving family. I bleed here.

I like the new plates idea.

Then you can also add:

-Big gun rack

-Hefty metal screen for the dawgs

-Lots of "...out of my dead hands" stickers

-Confederate flags posted all over it

-Light bar on top with at least 4x4megawatt lamps (for the deer)

-10 ton capable winch

-Roll cage for when you turn turtle

-lots of radio antennas

-Cool mudguards with shiny nekkid ladys

-BIG cargo cage on top for outside storage (You can put the doll dioramas in there!)

-LOUD sidepipes

-BIG chrome step rails on each side

-Humongous, ground shaking speakers to play the music from Apocolypse Now while you drive down the street and the dolls fight the BGs.

-Finally, since you still live in Kali, some really cool rainbow stickers on the rear windows like this one:

And, just to make sure there is no question in anyone's mind, this license plate frame would look GREAT!

<<Shit! You'se guyz beat me to it!>>

You need to turn it into Pepe, from Romancing The Stone.

-LOUD side pipes

I checked the exaust...It needs rebuilding for sure.

But I don't do loud exaust..just free flowing

Don't take the top off. If you do there is a good chance you are gonna get leakage.

definitely need one of those whistling exhaust jobs.

Suppossedly the top has never been taken off. From the look of the seal I tend to believe them and plan to keep it that way.

It already has two lights installed on the front bar.

How easy is it to wire additional lights? I would like a seperate control switch inside the cab.

With the stereo, lights and etc I am planning on adding can I just run a new fusebox from the battery and run everything from that second fuse box?

Cut a hole in the roof. Install a coupla from an M60 or an APC. Add a pintle mounted Ma Duece. er. . . M60. . .umm. . .Chipmonk youth .22. . . Red Ryder BB gun? Paint black. Add tinted windows, a brush guard, and a winch. And get a set of decent off road tires and different rims.

*Move out of Kali to install crossed out accessories. . .

Pretty easy to wire stuff up, you just need to decide where you want to put everything before you drill holes. Make sure you can feed all the wires through beforehand, or drill another hole in the firewall.

Fuse within 2' or so of the battery, and whenever you change wire gauge. Don't want any fires.
www.knukonceptz.com (dumb name I know) has cheap car audio wiring and accessories (fused distribution blocks). Another place to check is www.partsexpress.com

Hydralics are a must in Kali aren't they?

Taco Bell dog in back wired to turn signals, with head that moves.

And don't forget flames on the front clips.

Two questions:

1) What the HELL is the point of the "accent strips"? So I can have a shiny car with strips of camo on it? How that that even remotely make any sense

2) Why don't they have it for a Volvo stationwagon????

Nice sarge. I'm picking up a 96 Bronco hopefully tomorrow.

Add mud flaps with silhouettes of naked women, a bull decal to each door and back window, a Mexican flag license plate frame, "dingle berry" fringe on the visors, a statuette of the Virgin of Guadeloupe on the dash, and eight immigrant day laborers in the back seat. You will blend right in with the rest of southern California traffic.

I've got a 1995 Bronco since new. Black Eddie Bauer with a 4" Rancho Lift and 33" BFG's. First thing you should do is check all the little oval drainage holes on the bottom of the the doors and tailgate. Make sure they are not clogged and spray some oil up into them. Soak the whole inside/outside bottom of the tailgate with oil every few months. Bronco tailgates are notorious for rust. Same with the outside tire carrier if you have one. I like my Dynomax muffler/K&N FIPK air filter combo. Together they feel like 20 "seat of the pants" horsepower. When the seal on my top went, the rear ashtrays would fill up with water. I took the top off, applied silicone caulk on the outer edge, and the problem went away.

How many miles are on that bad boy?

I would get a nice camo job on it, take out the back seat, and I would use your skills to make a couple of gun/shooting related items in the back (cases, racks, benches).

Lets see a pic of you in the front seat of it!
