Sorry if this is a dupe.

Syriana was the biggest waste of money.  As I walked out of the movie I over head everyone, and I'm not exagerrating, leaving saying what a crock the movie was.

There was no consistant or flowing story line.

The reason is because this was a thinly veiled political statement by the hollywood leftist's decrying our current President and showing the world how "evil America is".

They make the assertation that the only reason there is suicide bombers is because the big evil Americans have forced them into such actions.  They believe that they would otherwise be peaceful people, productive world parnters.  They attempt to make the point that Americans are willing to trade their childrens lives for some profit (Matt Damon's role).

What a bunch of shit that movie was.

Don't waste your time.

Very believable right?....like the point that Muslims are only resorting to violence because we "make them do it?"

Actually the book refers to the Clinton Presidency.

It is not true to any of Baers books, I am relatively sure it was turned into a hate America first/ Bush bashing piece.  Baer is no fan of Clinton, slick willy triedto have him jailed and tanked his career effectively.  The relationship with the Saudis goes back to Eisenhower all hands since are dirty Dim or GOP does not matter.

It's the latest movie from ParticipantProductions, a production company formed by ebay co-founder Jeffrey Skoll. They like to do "socially responsible" movies;
-"North Country", about sexual harrasment in the work place
-"Good Night and Good Luck", about censorship
-"Syriana",  discussed here.
The next movie from them is called "American Gun", about the effects of guns on the American family.

I know there are some Persian members here.  You guys know what "Clooney" sounds like in Farsi, right?

it's called dynamic... simpletons need not watch this film.  If your attention span can hardly get you through a firefight in Predator, don't bother seeing it.  If you are able to organize thoughts and analyze them at the same time... it's a great film.

Traffic was a huge steaming turd. I'm glad I only rented it so I could turn it off  after 20 minutes.

Cous means a part of the female anatomy.  I made the mistake of asking for some Cous Cous there once.  Don't ask for Pizza in Poland - pizda also means that particular part of the female anatomy.

OK, thankfully I don't have any Persian cousins, so that term won't get me in trouble, either.

But what about Clooney?  Doesn't sound like "cous".

Cous is pronounced "cuze" - long u
Clooney is pronounce "cluny" - long u

They are fairly similar.  I assume that is the word he meant.

According to my wife, the word that pronounces "khoon" means anus.
A "khoonie" is a sodomite, to put it politely.
