Hello

I have always wanted to get into the technical survelience/countersurvelience field. I have a BS in Electronics Engineering Technology and 5 years as an electronics tech. My job has given me experience in everything from board level electronics, structure ethernet/fiber, to computer networking/security. I fiddle with little side electronics projects and am getting my HAM ticket soon. I am currently working on my BS in electrical engineering. I have a great GPA on my first degree, 4.0 GPA.

How often does the Investigative Technology Specialist job open up?

How hard is it to get? What are the qualifications? What type of work do you do, do you do a lot of stake outs?

Do they do overseas work? I want to stay in the US.

You can IM if you don't feel comfortable discussing in the open.

It's a non sworn position.  You hook up wiretaps, pen registers, maintain tech gear, surveillance gear, trackers, cameras, and stuff like that.   It's not 6c so it doesn't open up that often as you can do it until 67 if you want.

Large PDs have similar units...... we have one.

You may find the job better, more opportunities and better working environment.
