I was hit by lightening this summer. I went back to work in the field and lost 15 pounds!

I have never been hit by lightning though.

I felt suddenly less heavy once. Does that mean I was hit by lightening?

I was on a 32 ft sailboat once when it got hit.

I would recommend against trying to duplicate the experience

I was in the cab of the ATCT in Miami as a thunderstorm moved in.  Two seperate bolts of lightning hit the lightning protection system on the tower which was probably 20' above our head.  It scared the shit out of me but the controllers never even flinched (laughed their asses off at me but never flinched).

Nope, but about 10 feet away.

First when I was a kid down here in FL, lightning hit a big ass tree 10 feet from me when I was playing outside and split that bitch down the middle.

Most terrifying sound when it's right there.

Co worker's hubby was hit just a few hours ago in Fernandina Beach. He's headed out to party it up and celebrate being alive.

I just got back from Tinseltown, the storm didn't do much to stop people from going out. Everyone is packed out tonight.

We had quite a bit of hail earlier here in Orange Park.

OP must be an enlightened individual.

So far, 10% of ARFCOM has been struck by lighting. I think that explains a few things around here.
