$100 isnt worth dealing with craigslist people.  Just throw it out.

Play the game and tell them you have multiple people interested and first come first serve.

They lie, you lie.

Seriously, I don't hold anything for anyone unless they want to give me a non refundable deposit to hold it for an agreed upon time frame.

I'm just about fed up with selling anything used. You're forced to wade through so many bullshitters or crap offers nowadays.

I take it all back, you beautiful Asian peeps. He arrived but was 45 minutes late with no call until almost there. +1 for the Chinese

Now let's see what the white guy comes through today.

It's all luck of the draw. I have had positive experiences on craigslist on deals that actually materialized. Calguns on the other hand, plenty of flakes and tire kickers.

Yep. I put it on the street and it's gone in a couple hours.

$0-$100.... Donate to charity
$100-$500....Try to sell to friends or family (cheap). Normally winds up stashed in my basement for all eternity.
$500+...... Local Facebook groups first, Craigslist as a last resort.

Craigslist is like a tweeker garage sale anymore.

A good way to tell if someone is interested in actually selling an item is in the description.

If it's a one liner, pass. If it's actually a detailed description, it's a good indicator they may want to sell.

I enjoy craigslist sellers. Their "like new, needs nothing" descriptions are always so fucking far from the truth that it leaves plenty of room for negotiating.

Last time I bought something off Craigslist, when the deal was done and we were about ready to leave I thanked the people for not being serial killers.

Facebook buy and sell groups are usually a little better than Craigslist but you can get better deals on Craigslist.  Just gotta put up with the bullshit.

The local Facebook sale pages seem to be a better bet here.  I bet it has to do with folks not liking to be called out in a public forum when they flake out.

My favorite is the one for our neighborhood.  Closed group with no outside sellers or buyers.  No firearms sales though.

And while we are on the topic of selling, as far as the prices I see on the EE......if you bought something 2 years ago (or last weekend for all I care) for $100 and are asking $90........really!? Holy crap, I can buy it off you for a whole 10% off after you've had your filthy hands all over it. For 10% more I'll buy brand new from a place I can return it to if there are any problems. I'm amazed at 90% of the prices I see on the EE.

Craigslist people are weird, I have a 1986 Charvel on there for sale or trade, best offer. Someone offered me a Dean Avenger for it.

I guess after 3 months of trying to sell it I'll just keep it, lol.
