"I'm not dangerous, I just couldn't deal with her shit anymore."" GRAFTON TWP. — Lorain County Jail Corrections Officer William Dembie Jr. called the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office around 1:30 a.m. Thursday and calmly confessed to Dispatcher Joy Sanchez that he had just killed his wife, Holly Dembie. |

If I'm not mistaken, this was just posted here a couple of days ago by a forum member who went to high school with the perpetrator. I post this not as a dupe call-out, but rather to tell you that more details are in the other thread.
|
|
Thats an incredibly ghetto 911 dispatch setup. You have to put the caller on HOLD to call the ambulance???
|

Quoted: Quoted: HA! A murder is funny? Sorry, but the tape IS funny. I guess you have to like black humor to really appreciate it. You're going to tell me that these lines didn't even bring a half-suppressed smile or chuckle? When Sanchez asked who he had killed, William Dembie replied, "My wife, my ex-wife,” before giving a little laugh. "I don’t have nothing. I’m not, I’m not dangerous. I just couldn’t deal with her shit anymore,” Dembie said. |

Wow, I can't believe how lucid and matter of fact he sounds after committing a grizzly murder. That must have been some industrial strength "shit" his wife was dishing out.

Have you ever been wrongly accused of domestic violence/homicide? I betcha that group finds this situation a funnier than the average bear. |

Makes more sense to just pack your shit and leave. Either way, you're leaving, just seems better to me to do it voluntarily and keep open the possibility of hookers, blow and bottles of 100 year old hooch.

http://www.morningjournal.com/articles/2011/08/13/news/mj4906510.txt?viewmode=2 In the Yahoo! post about the judo choke hold from h.dembie, who didn’t have a photo and merely states she lives in Ohio, the writer stated she was “leaving this jerk” and “this is pathetic... i’m calling a lawyer. tomorrow... “in one form or another it equates to abuse of power. he treats me like crap, misuses our funds and then chokes me out as he begs for a chance. this is the end of the mistreatment, i’ve dealt with it for 10 years. i’m done. he has been diagnosed with an antisocial personality disorder. i work in special education, which makes me want to help, but it’s just too many hurts. he won’t try. i realize that this is a predominantly adolescent forum but i need to vent. when i was pregnant with our only child he cheated and gave me a script. he didn’t want to buy a crib. he thought i was jumping the gun. he didn’t attend the first birthday. and punched me for the first time afterwards because i thought it was abnormal. i’ve never had help through the worst labor projects we’ve endured. his skin was too sensitive to help me rake or throw straw to seed a new lawn over 2 acres. i drove the bobcat in reverse for 12 hours by myself and raked and seeded it myself. i’m stubborn too...” h.dembie wrote. There weren’t any documented histories of domestic violence within the Dembie household. Friends of Holly Dembie said there were some indicators, but nothing so extreme they thought their friend would be killed. Holly Dembie was seeking an attorney for divorce, friend and colleague Kara Kaiser said. |

You can tell exactly when he comes off the adrenalin "rush" of the murder and reality sets back in.

Men who kill their wives with knives? Not so much. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile I've got a client who's been in the domestic violence field for 20+ years, we've talked about it and I've helped him develop training materials for teaching domestic violence counselors (I do the computer part). He's worked at ferreting them out, help cure them and if not, get them locked up and now he's training others. It's a fascinating field if you can get over the tragedy involved. Most men who do this aren't stupid or crazy like you and I think of crazy. They're often crazy like a fox, they act normally in public and their wives often help cover it up. I took one of the tests for DV when I was helping him just for grins and giggles. He showed me my test results and a few others from real DV offenders. The guys who beat their wives scored better than I did on the questions involving domestic violence. In fact, their answers were usually perfect. It was their answers on other questions, ones with no relation to their wives, anger or violence that were the cue. They were weird, not really outrageously weird, but just...off. Reading them raised the hairs on the back of my neck. I think other men are in no danger from them whatsoever, but if you're a woman, watch out. As I said, fascinating if it wasn't for the tragedy. |

My uncle shot and killed his wife during an argument. He was out of prison and back on his feet in 7-years.
It took my dad 11 years to get back on his feet after divorce court. At some point everything becomes a risk management decision. |

The interesting part is those same characteristics are what attract women to them in the first place. Even if women are told they have D violence issues, they will still ignore it and cultivate a relationship. Seen it over and over again. There is a lot of truth to the "bad boy treat em like shit and they will be attracted to you." |

No matter how much shit she gives you, divorce is always better than prison. |

There's a simple test to determine if Domestic Violence has occurred:
If the alleged victim stops at the jail first to bond out her perp before going to the hospital she's probably been abused. If the alleged victim's late to her lawyer's office, losing track of time from all the high-fiving her girlfriends, it's probably not. |

But as you have demonstrated it has the unexpected benefit of giving you an aura of victimized superiority, allowing you to condescend to other people 'cause you're special. So it's really a lose/win sort of thing. |

why don't people just leave? Because they often lose almost everything they have worked for their entire life and at some point, a certain small percentage is going to say F it and do something inappropriate. |
