yes

I dunno, if they both kick the bucket it'll be President Pelosi.

McCain / Thompson at least makes sense.

But Romney / Paul? I don't see that one going, and I certainly can't see Paul voting Romney's way.

Ron Paul has already said he wouldn't accept the VP nomination from any of the current top tier candidates. He also admits that he would never be offered it b/c of their differing viewpoints.

How about Kuchinich/Paul?

A Moonbat and a Wingnut.

McCain/Thompson. But then I would constantly feel guilty for wishing McCain would get struck by a bolt of lightning.

I have to think that with the VERY little the Dems have accomplished in the last couple of years, all the Whining they have done (about Iraq, etc.), that they may just get a surprise this election in the races they will have to contest.

I think a Repub. president (even a RINO) will carry a fair number into Congress on his coat-tails.

Might even be Speaker John Boehner....

Or we could pair Thompson up with the dead guy from Weekend at Bernie's. Two peas in a pod.

Have you already assumed defeat in the 08 house races?

I don't think it's likely that it will shift much in favor of the Republicans. Why would it? The Republicans haven't done much different since 2006 and the Dems are still riding the wave.

I would hold my nose and vote for them and hope that Thompson would keep McCain from doing anything stupid on RKBA issues.

I'd rather have a Romney/Thompson ticket.
