My dad told me that he saw a gun safe at costco for $679. He did not have any further details (size, make, model, fire rating, gun capacity, etc..) Any one here know about this safe that is priced $679 at costco (maybe sam's club the same?)

Thank you!

Go to www.costco.com, click on 'furniture', then click on 'safes.'

They are all listed.

They usually have these in stock at Albany's Costco.  I think they are Cannon.  Very nice with the digital lock.   I've seen them in both dark green and white.

They have Sentry & Liberty.

FOr just a little more money than their topline Liberty, I bought a larger, 75% heavier Cannon model 50 from a local dealer and they installed it in my basement, Costco is doing main floor and no installation.

FYI, the two big honchos at costco are all about defeating bush this election. Pledged hundreds of thousands of dollars to do it,too.

Just in case you want to know where part of your money goes when you shop at costco.

FYI Walmart too. Walton is pitching (or catching) for Kerry now.

Which one? Sam is dead. The people running walmart contribute heavily to republicans now.

ETA: The waltons are also getting in to the pro-school voucher fight - a very non-liberal position:

Wal-Mart's political contributions have been spread widely in Congress, with more than 220 members of the House and Senate receiving checks of $1,000 to $17,500 so far this election cycle. About 85 per cent of the money has gone to Republicans.

A word about Costco safes and getting back on topic.... what you see in the warehouse stores may not be what is listed online. This is particularly true for gun safes.  Costco buyers search for excess inventory to sell. Sometimes they find Cannon or Amsec safes in smaller quantities. So, these go to either the nearest stores, or where it will move the best for profits.

If your in the market for a safe, go to your local gun show. They usually deal better ie: free delivery, goldenrod heater and setup. I saved $500 plus all the above for a Liberty Franklin 45  Check it out.

Anti-gun, not anti-money.  They are the kind of people that would sell crack to babies if it was legal.
