Don't know if this is a dupe but it is reported that Gov. Corzine of NJ SUV was doing 91 mph he was involved in the accident last week...hmm...no seat belts, almost 30 mph over the speed limit...He was in a big hurry to sit down with Don Imus...what a dick.

Dupe, but the first thread didn't mention anything about his speed.

If anything, 91 mph makes him look like an even bigger dumbass.

Actually, that's how they do it (VIP escorts).  Didn't they have lights flashing?  The idiot part was his not wearing a seatbelt.

Either way, it seems like he's a fool for being unbelted and speeding while going to a meeting with Imus.

Two weeks from now, we'll be asking "what was that Imus thing again?", while he's still in the hospital.

They are trying to hang the whole accident on some poor schmuck driving a red pickup who was driving no worse than every other idiot with a NJ license plate.

The guy in the Red pick up was identified and will not be charged...I heard the trooper driving the SUV is in trouble for driving that fast...and he should be charged with reckless driving......

The guy is smart enough to be a top director at Goldman Sachs yet dumb enough not to wear a seatbelt at 91mph.  This proves that Darwinism is a flawed theory.  Damn you, Darwin, for failing once again!

One can't justify driving that fast just to get to a meeting.  Even first responder (ambulance, fire, police) personnel would be held accountable for driving like that IF they weren't actually responding to an emergency.

the first clue was when they said the guy who caused the accident did not know he caused the accident.  duh!!!  then they said he was a special needs driver and they were not going to press charges.  duh!!  We knew he was speeding  (91mph)
It is routine for Gov's to speed.  but we in NJ all pay for his stupidity, his med bills, and his desire to see Imus do a mea culpa for his comment.
Another example of how the press re-shapes the news, just like with VA tech.  boy, are they doing a job, and they, everyone involved, are adroitly using the very willing press!
I think when the real facts come out, I think VT will have CC again. duh!

91 mph is extremly fast for a large size suv. It's very reckless to drive that fast.

This guy is such an asshat. I'm having a hard time feeling sorry for him. He has that typical Ny liberal mentality of "I'm smarter than you."

I wonder if he is going to get charged with reckless driving. Since the State trooper was probably driving that fast at his request.

Read in USA Today the gov's driver MAY have been trying not to let some car get next to him,as it would pose a SECURITY breach. C'mon, give me a break. Does he have some kind of nuclear codes or something? He ain't the president, just a wannabe. Time to tell these politicians they are allowed only two guys to be their security people mainly to deal with pushy voters who won't shut up. And how many cars are in this security detail? Waste of taxpayer money from what I see. Anyone know how many threats these governors get? Is that many they need to run around like a president?

It is called the Peter Principle.  Every person rises to their level of incompetence.  The higher up they are, the more incompetent.

It might also be a violation of state law.  It would be here in Ohio.

Head of the state of NJ with state cop driveing thought he was above the law . Guess he forgot the laws of physics trump the laws of NJ.  It does really seem a waste of health and money

I suppose the 91mph is a estimate based on some sort of accident reconstruction formula. I wonder what the under/over is of that gestimate? Could be he was going 100mph ?
