Just watching the Chris Tucker train wreck "The Fifth Element" on TNT.

The girlish screams, the panic - every time I pass a TV with "The Fifth Element" playing, I have to watch, transfixed. Don't get me wrong, the rest of the moview is some damned fine entertainment, but Chris Tucker as Ruby Rhod gets me laughing every time!

Love that movie. Gary Oldham plays a great bad guy (see also The Professional).

Luc Besson has made some great movies: Le Femme Nikitia, The Fifth Element, Leon, and the 'Taxi' series (dunno if those ever made a US release).

Obligatory soundtrack post.

This is a mix track from the OST that has a LOT of the best quotes from the film.  Enjoy!

I love it when Ruby shoots the guy in the back of the head, and then nervously asks "Corbin, is he going to be okay?" or something to that effect?

It is one of my all-time favorite fun films to watch.

my favorite part is when the general is saying leelu is going to have to learn to communicate, and she promptly breaks his nose through the unbreakable glass.
