Did I misread the article or did the guy break his neck and the police said he was faking it and wouldn't help him?

You didn't misread, that is exactly what happened.

It sounds like a fucking nightmare.

The protests over this have the potential to go beyond what we're used to seeing.

This is some really, really fucked up shit. I'm waiting to see if any of the LEO here will defend the law enforcement officials responsible for this.

This thread will deliver.

wow

hopefully some criminal charges are filed over this

It won't ease the pain his father is feeling burying his son but I hope
he sues that private jail out of existence and the guards and doctors are all charged and convicted of manslaughter .

I would have preferred not to read that.

That is absolutely terrifying.

Yamean Jail Guards? And no Im not going to read another bait post from some rag nobody would ever spend a nickle on. You guys dont seem to get it. They keep telling you what you want to hear and you keep generating income for them in some way.

Christ Almighty....

I'll go to my standard position in cases like this one.

These guards either think this kind of behavior is acceptable, or are too fucking stupid to realize that it's being recorded. Either way they have no business in any sort of job that doesn't involve shopping carts.

Based on what I have seen so far, this will be universally condemned. There will be protest, but they will be peaceful.

You would think by day 2 of the guy not moving might bring up a doubt on if he was faking or not.

It's not universally condemned here. Just scroll up.

Even with peaceful protests, the BLM folks are liable to go full retard.

The medical staff said he was faking.

Detention officers, nurses, and even a jail psychiatrist accused Williams of “faking” an illness.

Not all of them the first nurse did as well as the mental health people send to check on him. Later nurses noted issues and one tried to help him a day or two before he died but wasn't allowed in his cell.
