Benoit Lécuyer, a 29 year old cop was shot this morning on highway 40 in montreal.  He was attempting to make a routine stop when he was shot at numerous times.  (10 am)


Last developpements: 2 suspects arrested one still on the loose (12:00)

Unfortunately, he died from his injuries at the hospital....(13:00)

Police officer Benoit Lécuyer was killed in Montreal this morning in the Anjou district. The agent and another patrol officer had just intercepted a stolen vehicle in which were three individuals, two men and a woman. A pursuit then began between the two vehicles. The police officers succeeded in wedging the car against the parapet on highway 40.  The pursuit escalated into a shootout when one of the suspects shot one of the officers in the thorax. The ambulance crew carried out reanimation procedures, before bringing the agent to the hospital where he died.   Two of the three individuals have been found and are questionned by the police. The third suspect is still at large

Last news: The assasin, Stéphane Boucher was arrested at 1:00am this morning.  He was in the appartment of one of his girlfriends.  The mom of the girl called the police a first time yesterday afternoon and said that Boucher was expected at her home in he evening.  The cops called her at around 12:45am and asked her if she could talk.....She said yes cause the suspect was sleeping...  The police asked her to quietly go outside and to leave the door of the appartment oppened to facilitate the officers to make a "stealth" entry.  When she came out, she gave her purse to one of the inspectors.  In it he discovered Boucher's handgun.  The lady said I don't like theese things.  She actually took his gun away from him just before exiting her appartment.
