still a good standby for when you're out of beer and the AAFES shoppers has shit selection for beer

The stubby bottles are my favorite. I know it's mental but I like it more that way.

I love the Banquet Beer.
It's funny how Coors Light bears no resemblance whatsoever. |

If there is no Miller Lite then, PBR and Coors is "good enough."

It (or Rolling Rock) is my go to "all day beach beer" mainly because drinking Guinness 16oz cans on the beach in 90* weather is a little rough.
|
|
yeah for some reason I really enjoy the coors out of the stubby bottles as well. great summer beer, cheap but does not taste like typical american pilsner swill.
|
|
I enjoy Coors as my 'buy a 30 rack of something to drink all day' beer.
|
|
I much prefer the Champagne of Beer myself, but the Banquet Beer will do in a pinch.

I pretty much only drink micro brews, specifically of the stout and porter variety. Coors Banquet is the ONLY cheap beer that I like. I guess living in Colorado for close to 20 years will do that to you. Coors Banquet is good stuff!

I remember when Coors Banquet beer was their only offering. And it was advertised as "America's fine light beer."
So then they came out with Coors Lite. So how do you make a lite beer lighter? Fwiw I grew up drinking PBR and then waaaay to much Budweiser. To the point I can, or could, drink Bud at room temperature. I gave up drinking ~10 years ago and will only have a good craft beer two or three times a year now. |

They do not fit in the ozark trail stainless steel coozy. So I had to find one of the free neoprene ones and suffer through.....

Good beer when you are sick of drinking Bud.
I remember in the 70s when you could not get it on the East coast. when people went/visited CO. it was always bring me back some Coors and or Olympia beer. |

Banquet Beer is good stuff but I rarely attend banquets...
...as a result I drink the 2nd best thing---> Attached File |

For about the same taste, even cheaper, and made by the same people, I get Extra Gold.

'Currz' was the unicorn beer. Olympia had a very unique flavor, when it was actually made here in Olympia, WA. I've had the current version and it's not even close. |
|
I'm assuming it's better than any craft beer I've tried

And since my hometown was only 15 miles north of Kansas and 25 miles from a liquor store, and I was old enough to buy I made many a Friday night trip to buy Coors in my much younger days. I would typically make enough to pay for gas and meals and booze and what not for a good time Saturday night. |

View Quote It wasn't available in Texas back then either. My uncle was an AF Col. and when they were stationed in New Mexico they acquired a taste for Coors. So when they were stationed in San Antonio he and my aunt would periodically drive the Vista Cruiser to Shreveport and come back with a station wagon packed full of Coors. They were pretty happy when Coors became available in Texas. |

My second favorite....first being Coors Extra Gold. Too bad you can't get it in Florida.
