woah.

Similarly, they found a bunch of Russian and German bodies in some neighborhood of Berlin last year. I forget what the place was called, some suburb, enormous and terrible battle though.

Where were these photos taken?

Pretty interesting. There would be a lot to be found on those Russian WW2 Battlefields. The gun dealer I buy at went to Stalingrad last year. He showed me some of his finds. One was a German SS Ring. Pretty impressive. Henrich Himmler's signature was on the inside of the ring. I imagine it is worth a dollar or two.

Pretty interesting finds. He did mention about contacting the authorities when remains are found and burying them with honors. I wonder if they DNA test them for identification and contacting relatives..

COOL a Bunker!!!!, it's like stepping right into history, it doesn't seem as though this can be real it's like standing inside a history book:

What could be in the bunker....

All to real, definately not a history book:

Some more from another dig site:

Ofcourse it would be nice to find something like these in your back yard:

The US Navy ended up with the Brewster Buffalo in the last picture. The story of how it ended up in their hands is, ahem, interesting.

Appears many of them were mass buried. I am guessing many of them German. Still need to be buried with their countries honors.

I think I'd be too scared of any nasty UXO surprises to dig around a WWII battlefield.

All it would take is one little grenade to ruin your day, for life.

But the pics are cool, and a little creepy. I doubt the remains will ever find family members if it's eastern front stuff.

Thanks for sharing,
